Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement fiberglass hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.63m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 166 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the ME 97E design.

Exterior Design

Agave is a 29.6m (97ft) Marlow 97 Explorer, and the profile leans into long-range purpose rather than pure styling. The deep blue hull and white superstructure keep things classic, while the clipper bow gives the forward sections more lift and presence, especially in a head sea.

Movement around the deck is clearly a priority. Wide side decks run the length of the yacht, and high bulwarks with solid handrails keep everything secure, while the Portuguese bridge wraps the front of the superstructure and creates a protected route forward. Up on the bow, two L-shaped settees sit either side of the centreline, and a raised sunpad sits just aft, so the space works for both passage and downtime.

The cockpit has a three-stool bar forward, and a fixed table with a transom bench takes care of dining aft, so the whole area works as a casual social zone close to the water.

Above, the sky bridge splits into two distinct sections. The forward part is enclosed and houses the helm, while the aft section stays open, with a bar, a hot tub, and space for tender storage handled by a 998kg (2,200lb) davit. A sunshade stretches across this area, which makes it usable through the day.

Interior Design

The interior design of the yacht Agave is characterized by its functional and welcoming atmosphere, using high-quality materials and thoughtful layouts. The salon features teak and holly floors, with floor-to-ceiling teak accents that add warmth to the space. Natural light floods the area through near waist-to-ceiling windows, enhancing the inviting ambiance. Accent lighting under the sofas and along the ceiling perimeter further elevates the room's aesthetic. The seating arrangement consists of two facing sofas along the starboard and port walls, providing a comfortable space for conversation.

The recently redesigned galley, located amidships, is equipped with practical and stylish features. Custom Cambria Annica stone countertops with recessed sinks offer both durability and a clean, modern look. This area is designed for efficiency and ease of use, ensuring that meal preparation is straightforward and enjoyable.

The forward enclosed section of the sky bridge houses the helm station, which is equipped with a two-seat arrangement positioned forward to port. An L-shaped dinette is located aft of the helm, providing a convenient spot for casual dining or relaxation.

Accommodation

Agave carries accommodation for up to 14 guests across 7 cabins, along with crew space for 3, which is a high count for a yacht of this size.

The main deck master sits forward with an island king berth and en suite, while a second master below deck sits amidships, offset slightly to port, giving two owner-level cabins that can be used interchangeably.

The VIP cabin occupies the forepeak with a queen berth, while two guest cabins just aft provide twin arrangements, one with side-by-side singles and one with over-under berths. Further aft, two additional cabins with double berths complete the layout.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Agave is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. With her 15,142 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
