The 65.3m sail yacht Creole was delivered to her owners in 1927 by British shipyard Camper & Nicholsons. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Charles E. Nicholson, while Russo is responsible for her interior design.

Designed around a wood hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 9.44m beam and a 5.35m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 381 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 1926. She was delivered to her owners in January 1927.
