Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10m beam and a 3.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,013 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 2021. This was the first yacht built on the T580 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Diamond Binta presents a bold, high-volume profile with aggressive, automotive-inspired styling and a purposeful stance. The hull features a vertical bow and a deeply cut spray rail, hinting at her world-cruising ambitions, while the superstructure balances strength with elegance through long overhangs and curved elements. The hull is painted a crisp white, with a contrasting grey section supporting the sundeck’s central structure. The black-painted overhang above the bridge subtly echoes a car bonnet, reinforcing the yacht’s mechanical edge.
The foredeck is unusually minimalist, deliberately reserved for a touch-and-go helipad capable of supporting an Airbus ACH160. This helicopter platform is marked with the yacht’s Binta insignia, a stylised double-B emblem that also appears within the yacht’s artwork. Rather than scattering loungers or furnishings across the bow, the owner prioritised practical utility - the result is a large, clear deck space that reflects the yacht’s engineered ethos.
Aft, the upper deck features a 14-person dining area framed by uninterrupted views, thanks to the glass balustrades that eliminate stanchions entirely. On the sundeck above, large sunpads sit forward of a glass-fronted plunge pool and two circular lounging spots. A structural triangle defines the midsection of the deck, enclosing a gym that can be opened or sealed off depending on weather. A bar trimmed in honeycomb detailing and additional casual dining spaces round out this area.
The yacht’s transom and drop-down balconies turn the beach club into a fully open, water-level retreat. These fold-out platforms on either side extend the usable space dramatically. The beach club also includes a massage and treatment room, day heads, and a shower, with a long window linking through to the spa area. At anchor, the aft section lowers completely to form a large, teak-lined swim platform.
Interior Design
Diamond Binta’s interior draws on soft curves, asymmetrical lines, and a subtle automotive influence to create a distinct and cohesive environment. Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini collaborated on the interior design, continuing the style language established on the owner's previous yacht. Curved walls, arched partitions, and rounded furniture define the living areas, replacing angular geometry with a fluid sense of space.
The main saloon welcomes guests with gently sweeping lines and shapely furnishings. Circular carpets and unconventional coffee tables add a playful edge, while large curved sofas and soft lighting create a calm, luxurious atmosphere. The dining area, located forward, features a black round-edged table under the gaze of a gold and black "Binta shield" art piece. Throughout the yacht, materials include smoked glass, black lacquer, textured oak in various finishes, cappuccino marble, and soft leathers. The colour palette remains understated - a mix of greys, creams, and beiges accented with dark tones.
The galley is positioned on the main deck and was custom-designed to double as a social hub. A large island allows for dining at the counter, with Poltrona Frau stools perched beside it. The owner’s wife, a keen cook, wanted a space where she could comfortably prepare meals herself, as well as support full crew operations. Cold storage and appliances are built into the cabinetry, and the space remains as stylish as it is practical.
Lighting throughout the yacht plays a central role. Ceilings blend pearl grey lacquer with darker panels, and LED strips trace along curved beams to accentuate each room’s form. These lights also help create a soothing atmosphere, particularly in the living spaces on the main and upper decks.
The bridge continues the mechanical theme with a masculine edge. Upholstered in dark brown leather with red LED accents, the helm station borrows from automotive design, using metallic paneling and sculpted cabinetry. The configuration is geared toward professional navigation, with standing space for manoeuvring and seating for autopilot monitoring. Above the bridge is the helipad, while access is routed efficiently through crew passageways and a bridge office.
A real standout feature is the glass-sided engine room corridor that links the guest cabins to the beach club. This illuminated passage shows guests the technical centre of the yacht, allowing guests to walk directly from their cabins to the spa zone while appreciating the engineering.
Accommodation
Diamond Binta accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms, with a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck and five guest cabins on the lower deck. The crew complement is 12, housed in six crew cabins along with a large captain’s cabin adjacent to the bridge.
The main deck suite is more like a private apartment, with its own lounge, desk, and a starboard-side balcony. Rounded shapes carry through from the saloon, with an L-shaped sofa echoing the "boomerang" forms used elsewhere. A walk-in wardrobe leads to a striking ensuite, finished in cappuccino marble with a rainfall shower, toilet and bidet, and custom cabinetry. Every surface flows seamlessly from one to the next - a feature consistent across the yacht’s design.
The lower deck hosts five additional guest cabins, including two larger double suites and three convertible cabins with Pullman berths. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom, wardrobe storage, and distinctive soft furnishings. Carpets are deliberately offset and asymmetrical, creating visual movement beneath the beds. Bathrooms share the same marble finishes seen in the master, reinforcing a sense of continuity throughout.
Crew areas span multiple decks and are laid out to support discreet and efficient service. The main crew mess is located on the lower deck, alongside six cabins. Below that, a utility deck houses the laundry room and additional cold storage. The captain’s cabin is situated by the bridge, fitted to guest standards with a private bathroom and workspace.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512E) 12-cylinder 2,583hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Diamond Binta is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 126,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,400 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Tenders
Tender storage is built into the hull with a vast garage located below the helipad. Two side-opening garage doors conceal space for a 9m (29.5ft) tender and a 6.7m (22ft) RIB, both launched by beam cranes. These toys are in keeping with the yacht’s performance-led aesthetic - the primary tender is a sleek 9.5m DARIELimo powered by twin 370hp engines, while the RIB can reach 38 knots. Water toys include a Seabob F5 S, capable of speeds up to 20km/h.
