Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2022. This was the first yacht built on the T55 Sportiva design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2025.

Exterior Design

Rose is the first yacht in Tankoa’s 55m (180.4ft) T55 Sportiva series, and her profile pushes away from the heavier look often associated with large-volume displacement yachts. Designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, the exterior combines sharp, automotive-inspired surfacing with long flowing lines and layered black glazing that visually lowers the superstructure into the hull.

From above, the yacht’s proportions become especially clear. The bow stretches into a long, tapering foredeck with a distinctive double-angle profile and integrated tender storage. The forward section carries jet skis and a rescue tender recessed neatly into the deck, while the upper bow area houses a full-beam panoramic jacuzzi set into a private lounging zone with uninterrupted forward views.

The glazing treatment plays a major role in the yacht’s appearance. Continuous dark glass bands wrap around the main and upper decks, visually linking exterior and interior spaces while sharpening the yacht’s low, athletic stance. The wheelhouse itself has a striking blacked-out finish with steeply angled glazing that gives the superstructure a very modern look from aerial angles.

Aft, the yacht opens dramatically toward the sea. The beach club centres around a large rectangular sunken swimming pool positioned directly above the swim platform, with broad terraces and stepped walkways arranged around it. Seen from astern, the deck layout forms a layered cascade of outdoor living areas that descend naturally toward the water.

The owner’s private terrace sits high above the aft decks and includes its own panoramic spa pool integrated into the upper structure. Above that, the sundeck combines shaded dining space, open lounging areas and sunpads beneath a dark mast structure that contrasts sharply against the white superstructure below.

Throughout the design, the balance between open deck space and enclosed volume has been carefully managed. Despite the yacht’s 55m (180.4ft) length, the profile stays lean and uncluttered, helped by recessed bulwarks, hidden technical areas and long horizontal deck lines that pull the eye cleanly from stern to bow.

The Nemo Room is Rose’s quiet surprise - a place to pause between sea and sky.

Interior Design

Interior styling is by Lissoni & Partners, who have created a bespoke, contemporary atmosphere throughout. The spaces are defined by strong architectural lines, clean finishes, and a focus on natural light. Full-height windows on both the main and upper decks introduce an open, outward-looking character to the interiors.

Rose also introduces one of the more unusual features in this size range: the Nemo Room. Positioned close to the waterline behind a large hull window aft, the semi-submerged lounge creates a direct visual connection with the sea and becomes part of the yacht’s exterior identity as much as its interior experience.

Accommodation

Rose offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin  located forward on the main deck, complete with direct access to a private terrace and its own jacuzzi.  She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Natural light plays a significant role across all accommodation areas, especially on the main and upper decks, where floor-to-ceiling glazing brings in sweeping views and an airy ambience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,193hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Rose is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,800 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
