The award winning 39.47m open yacht O'Pati was delivered to her owners in 2011 by Greek shipyard Golden Yachts. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Studio Vafiadis, while Hydro Tec S.r.l. is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • 39.5m (129.6ft) Golden Yachts yacht
  • 23-knot top speed
  • Triple KaMeWa waterjets
  • Five cabins for 12 guests

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.52m beam and a 1.4m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 243 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2008 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project O'Pati '. Launched in May 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2014.

Exterior Design

The Golden Yachts O'Pati is a 39.5m (129.6ft) open yacht with a low, stretched profile and a strong sense of forward motion. The hull sits very low to the water, the bow is long and fine, and the superstructure rises in one smooth arc before falling away into the aft deck, so the whole yacht reads as one uninterrupted line rather than a series of stacked levels.

Her stone grey metallic hull gives O'Pati much of her presence, while the darker finish sharpens the long glazing band and makes the red bootstripe stand out close to the waterline. The styling is by Giorgio Vafiadis, and it leans into the open-yacht brief with a very clean upper profile, minimal visual clutter, and a low flybridge structure that does not interrupt the silhouette. Hull repainting in 2023 and superstructure repainting in 2021 also matter here, because they keep the yacht’s strongest visual asset looking current.

Deck spaces are arranged in the way a fast Mediterranean open yacht needs them to be, with multiple sunbathing and lounging zones spread from bow to stern. The aft deck extends out from the salon and ends with a bank of sunpads behind the al fresco dining table, so the space works for meals and lounging without needing a full bridge deck overhang. Up top, the flybridge carries additional sunpads aft of the raised twin helm seats, while the foredeck adds another sunpad area with seating around a table. This gives O'Pati three distinct open-air guest zones, and that is a big part of why she works so well for charter.

The open-yacht character also shapes the technical profile. The 7.52m (24.6ft) beam stays modest relative to the length, helping preserve the lean look, while the triple KaMeWa waterjets and three 2,000hp MTU diesels support the fast, shallow-running stance that suits island-hopping itineraries.

Interior Design

Inside, O'Pati softens the aggressive exterior with a calmer, more minimal interior, using neutral tones, fine woods, leather, and tailored textiles to create a cleaner and more modern atmosphere than the outside profile might suggest. The overall palette is understated, and that helps the open-plan salon feel light and uncluttered.

The main salon is arranged with a bar to port, a dining table to starboard, and lounge seating forward, so the space stays social without becoming overcomplicated. One of the defining interior features is the glass ceiling, which brings extra light down into the salon and adds a more open feel to a yacht type that often relies on low, enclosed styling. That matters on O'Pati because the yacht’s exterior is so sleek and low, so bringing more light into the main salon helps avoid any sense of compression.

The styling follows clean, minimalist lines, and the cabin design continues that approach with integrated storage and crisp detailing rather than heavy decorative flourishes. The result is an interior that suits the yacht’s modern performance brief and also supports charter use, because the spaces feel easy to live with rather than over-designed.

Accommodation

O'Pati accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins on the lower deck, and the arrangement is built around a full-beam owner’s cabin forward, two double guest cabins, and two twin cabins, each with an additional Pullman berth.

The owner’s cabin takes the prime lower-deck position and uses the yacht’s beam to create a more generous principal suite, while the remaining four cabins are laid out to maximise guest numbers without pushing the yacht beyond a practical five-cabin plan. The design emphasis is on clean lines and clever storage, so the cabins stay functional for longer trips as well as short Mediterranean charters.

Crew accommodation is arranged for up to eight, with a dedicated crew mess aft and sleeping quarters positioned both aft and forward.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M91) 16-cylinder 2,000hp engines running at 2350rpm, motor yacht O'Pati is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 28,780 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 480 nautical miles at 20 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
