Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

OCeanos is a 49.23m (161.7ft) Mondomarine motor yacht, delivered in 2006 and refitted in 2022, with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and a gross tonnage of 498 GT. The refit introduced a full repaint, replacing the original dark blue hull with a white finish across both hull and superstructure, while retaining the yacht’s original proportions.

The profile is defined by high freeboard and stepped deck levels, so the yacht carries a tall, layered look, while vertical glazing is set within breaks in the bulwarks rather than forming long continuous bands. The bow is raked, leading into a short foredeck that transitions quickly into raised coamings, which increase internal volume on the main deck.

The foredeck remains largely open, while guest seating is positioned further aft near the base of the superstructure, integrated into the deck layout with fixed benches and tables. Above this, the bridge uses wraparound forward glazing with angled mullions, and tall, evenly spaced side windows run along the upper levels, reinforcing the structured, upright appearance.

Along the hull, small oval portholes are spaced evenly across the lower deck, while additional rectangular openings sit forward, and a black boot stripe defines the waterline. The stern drops cleanly to a sheltered platform, while a large transom door lifts to reveal the beach club and water access area. Twin staircases lead down from the main deck aft, protected by high coamings.

The deck arrangement relies on deep overhangs, with the upper deck shading the main deck aft and the sun deck canopy providing cover to the level below, so exterior areas remain usable in direct sun.

On the sun deck, a circular Jacuzzi is set into a dark wood surround aft and flanked by sunpads, while additional paired sunpads sit forward of the canopy. Two dining tables with bench seating are arranged around the central section, and a bar area sits further forward with stools positioned to face outward. Twin staircases connect the decks, keeping movement between levels direct, while a central mast structure above carries radar domes and communications equipment on a compact platform.

Oceanos showcases a white hull, a redesigned sundeck with dining areas and a jacuzzi, luxurious light-toned interiors, and accommodates 14 guests in comfort.

Interior Design

The interior of OCeanos was refreshed in 2022, building on the original Studio Vafiadis design, with the structure and wall panelling retained and the finishes updated to lighter tones.

Wood panelling remains a constant across the main spaces, while soft furnishings shift to cream and light blue tones, paired with plain cream carpets so the spaces read brighter without altering the layout. Occasional tables combine white bases with lacquered walnut tops and gold inlay, while sofas and lounge chairs are arranged in groups that keep circulation open.

The main saloon leads into the dining area through a partially divided space, where silver-toned wall panels and built-in cabinetry define the transition without closing it off. The dining table is finished in lacquered wood and paired with low-profile cream leather chairs, while a recessed ceiling panel sits above within a wood surround.

Large windows run the length of the space, set between wood panels with horizontal grain, so natural light remains a key feature across both saloon and dining areas.

Across the cabins, the same material approach continues, with neutral tones set against wood panelling, while padded headboards, panelled ceilings and fluted wall sections introduce variation. Each cabin uses a slightly different tone of wood, and accents of blue are used consistently, with small amounts of contrasting colour introduced through soft furnishings and artwork.

Accommodation

OCeanos accommodates up to 14 guests in 7 cabins, with crew accommodation for 11 crew.

The layout includes an owner’s suite, one VIP cabin, two double cabins and three twin cabins, with the twins configured to support flexible guest arrangements. The cabins are distributed to maintain separation between guest and operational areas, while full-height glazing in key cabins increases natural light.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 B) 12-cylinder 1,686hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht OCeanos is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 80,400 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,915 nautical miles. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. OCeanos also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
