The new company made its public debut during the inaugural Seaver Gallery event at Resort Oesterdam in the Netherlands, where invited guests were introduced to the brand through an exhibition-style experience before touring demonstration yachts on the water.
Alongside its Nordic and Azure model families, Seaver also unveiled an ownership concept that positions the company as a long-term partner throughout the build process and beyond. Founded by experienced yacht owners Simon Schilder and Mike Verweij alongside designer Bernd Weel and project lead Julian van Santen, Seaver has been created to bring Bernd Weel's original yacht designs to market under a new standalone brand. Future yachts will be built by Dutch yard Altena Yachting.
Building an ownership community from day one
Rather than hosting a conventional product presentation, Seaver introduced itself through what it described as the Seaver Gallery - an exhibition exploring the company's design philosophy, architecture and lifestyle alongside its yacht collection.
Visitors were guided through displays explaining the Azure and Nordic ranges before viewing the first demonstration motor yachts, while works by Dutch artist Arno Hoogland formed part of the wider exhibition. The format reflected Seaver's intention to present itself as more than a builder, instead focusing on the broader ownership experience.
We've experienced the full reality of yacht ownership: the highs, but also the moments where better support would have made all the difference. That experience is what Seaver is built on."
- Simon Schilder, Co-Founder and Advisor, Seaver
That philosophy extends beyond the initial purchase. Instead of operating solely as a shipyard, Seaver coordinates a network of independent specialists who support owners from the earliest design stages through construction, delivery and after-sales care. Owners also become part of the My Seaver Community, providing continued support, exclusive events and ongoing ownership services after delivery.
Two yacht ranges for different styles of cruising
Seaver's first collection consists of five models split across two distinct product lines:
- Nordic - includes the 20m Nordic 65 and the 24m Nordic 80, both developed primarily for owners cruising in colder climates or undertaking longer voyages.
- Azure - targets warmer destinations, currently comprising the Azure 65, Azure 80 and flagship Azure 95. While the Azure 80 is available today, the Azure 65 is listed as coming soon and the larger Azure 95 remains under development.
Although aimed at different cruising styles, both families share the same engineering foundation. Every Seaver yacht features an aluminum fast-displacement hull, CE Category A ocean-going certification, hydraulic tender platforms and full-beam watersports garages. Layouts can also be configured for either owner-operation or fully crewed cruising depending on an owner's requirements.
Nordic: Built for colder waters and longer passages
Designed around extended cruising and changing weather conditions, the Nordic range prioritizes protected living spaces without sacrificing connections to the surrounding environment.
The Seaver Nordic 65 measures 20m with a 5.53m beam and is powered by twin Volvo Penta D13-800 engines. The yacht offers a claimed top speed of 30 knots alongside an economical cruising range of approximately 700 nautical miles with a 10 percent fuel reserve.
Stepping up to the Seaver Nordic 80 increases overall length to just under 24m while retaining twin Volvo Penta D13-1000 engines. The larger model extends the economical range to around 750 nautical miles and maintains a reported maximum speed of 30 knots. The 80 also increases tender carrying capability through a 950kg hydraulic platform, almost doubling the capacity offered by the Nordic 65.
Both yachts feature expansive glazing, generous headroom and large retractable sunroofs intended to introduce natural light without compromising protection from colder conditions. Seaver describes the concept as creating a villa-like atmosphere where owners can remain comfortable throughout longer passages regardless of the weather outside.
Azure: Making the most of warmer climates
Where the Nordic family is centred around interior comfort, the Azure collection takes the opposite approach by placing outdoor living at the heart of the design. Large flybridges, multiple social areas and flexible deck arrangements create spaces intended for entertaining, dining and relaxing in warmer climates. Buyers can also specify an optional Jacuzzi on the sundeck.
The Azure 80 shares its principal dimensions with the Nordic 80, measuring 23.96m in length with a 6.18m beam. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D13-1000 engines, it reaches a reported top speed of 26 knots while offering an economical cruising range of approximately 680 nautical miles.
Inside, the focus shifts toward calm, climate-controlled accommodation that provides a retreat from the heat after time spent on deck. The Azure range will eventually expand at both ends of the lineup, with the smaller Azure 65 currently in development and the flagship Azure 95 planned to extend the series close to the 30m mark.
Launching with five models immediately gives the company one of the broader debut lineups seen from a new European builder in recent years, covering everything from owner-operated cruising to larger crewed superyachts approaching 30m.
