Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement ice class steel hull and superstructure she features a 13.3m beam and a 5.77m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,890 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 1973. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in May 1973.
Exterior Design
Originally built as a high-seas tug in the 1970s, her design reflects the need to operate effectively in challenging maritime conditions. The bow is high and robust, allowing the vessel to navigate large sea states without compromising seaworthiness. This is contrasted by the low-profile superstructure, which aids in stability and reduces wind resistance. The Sea Ranger's steel hull and superstructure are constructed to withstand the harsh environments encountered during ocean-going missions.
Sea Ranger's hull is painted blue, providing a striking contrast to the white superstructure. This color scheme is complemented by a red boot top, adding a distinct visual element.
One of the notable features of the Sea Ranger is her extensive array of radar and communication equipment. The main radar mast is equipped with three radars, ranging from short-range at the bottom to long-range at the top. Additionally, the mast supports multiple satellite and communication domes, ensuring reliable connectivity even in remote locations.
Interior Design
The main saloon is outfitted with durable, high-end fabrics and finishes, ensuring a robust yet refined environment. Hardwood floors and polished wood paneling provide a traditional maritime feel, while large windows offer ample natural light. The furnishings are comfortable and practical, designed to withstand the rigors of long voyages.
Adjacent to the main saloon is a formal dining area. This space is equipped with a large dining table made from solid wood, capable of seating all guests comfortably for meals. The dining chairs are upholstered for comfort, and the lighting is designed to create an inviting atmosphere.
The sky lounge includes plush seating and a selection of entertainment options such as a flat-screen television and a sound system. The walls are adorned throughout the interior with simple, tasteful artwork that adds a touch of elegance without overwhelming the space. The yacht's lighting is functional and adjustable, allowing for various settings depending on the time of day and activity.

Sea Ranger offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
