As the latest addition to Ferretti Yachts’ Flybridge range and first announced in 2024, the 29m model enters the spotlight with a contemporary design and owner-focused customization options. This will be the first time the public sees the new-build Ferretti 940 in person, following its quiet rollout earlier this year.
Designed in Italy, Built for the World
Constructed in GRP with a planing hull, the Ferretti Yachts model is designed and engineered entirely in-house by the Ferretti Group’s technical team, with exterior styling by Filippo Salvetti. The interiors are by Ideaeitalia, continuing the studio’s longstanding collaboration with the yard. The yacht's layout, styling, and configuration all speak to Ferretti’s emphasis on comfort, performance, and flexible design.

Although part of the brand’s Flybridge line-up, the 940 is effectively positioned as a compact superyacht with a semi-custom feel. It is built in Italy and remains in active production, with buyers able to configure a new-build unit to suit their preferred layout, materials, and engine setup.
Custom Interiors and Practical Layouts
Measuring 6.78 meters across the beam, the Ferretti 940 features an open flybridge layout that serves as the yacht’s primary outdoor entertainment zone.

As standard, the yacht comes equipped with a hydraulic swim platform, which can be used to launch a tender or as a leisure area at water level. Additional outdoor seating and dining areas are found on the main and upper decks, with layouts designed to optimize space for both relaxation and movement underway.

The overall exterior profile features a clean, horizontal line with soft tapering at the stern and an assertive bow. While the styling is consistent with recent models across the Ferretti fleet, the 940’s proportions give it a more imposing, superyacht-style presence.
A Choice of Power
The Ferretti 940 is designed for semi-planing performance, with a standard twin MTU 16V 1163 M94 engine setup delivering 7,940 horsepower. At cruising speed, she maintains a comfortable 21 knots, with a top speed of 25 knots and a maximum range of 320 nautical miles. An alternative engine option is available in the form of twin MAN V12-2200s, depending on buyer preference.

This level of propulsion provides a balance between efficient long-range cruising and rapid coastal passage-making, ideal for owners operating in the Mediterranean or Caribbean seasons.
A Key Launch for Ferretti Group
As the largest model currently in Ferretti Yachts’ Flybridge range, the 940 reinforces the brand’s ability to deliver superyacht-level comfort in a package under 30 meters. Her debut at the Venice Boat Show highlights Ferretti Group’s ongoing investment in its in-house design and engineering teams, as well as its commitment to tailoring new models to changing owner demands.
Ferretti’s choice of Venice for the global reveal reflects the brand’s deep Italian heritage and the strategic importance of the show. Now in its sixth edition, the Venice Boat Show has grown into one of Europe’s leading showcases for luxury yachts under 40 meters, with the Arsenale providing a distinctive historic setting.
