The 480GT superyacht features exterior and interior design by Red Yacht Design, while naval architecture was developed by Alfa Marine Design. The 44m Orion One is now preparing for sea trials ahead of delivery later this year.
A New Turkish Superyacht Builder Enters the Market
Based in Yalova, Orion Yachts has positioned Orion One as a full-custom style platform aimed at owners seeking generous interior space without sacrificing operational simplicity. The yacht features a steel hull paired with an aluminum superstructure, with exterior styling defined by a flared bow, cascading aft decks, and extensive glazing throughout the profile.
According to Red Yacht Design managing director Fatih Sürekli, the original brief centered on creating a yacht with strong internal volume, comfortable onboard circulation, and a clear visual identity.
The launch also marks a notable step for the wider Turkish yacht sector, which continues to expand its presence across the 40m-plus market with increasingly sophisticated semi-custom and bespoke projects.
Light-Filled Interiors Shape Orion One
Early renderings revealed interiors centered around light woods, neutral finishes, and soft aquamarine accents. Large windows across the main and upper decks bring significant natural light into the living spaces, while the general arrangement focuses on uninterrupted movement between guest and crew areas.
Onboard, the interior of Orion One is a sanctuary of refined luxury. Every inch of the yacht's interior has been thoughtfully curated to provide the utmost comfort and opulence."

With a gross tonnage of 480GT, Orion One is arranged for up to 12 guests across five staterooms. The main deck owner’s suite is positioned forward and includes a fold-down balcony that extends the living space directly over the water. Guest accommodations on the lower deck consist of two double cabins and two twin cabins with Pullman berths, giving the layout flexibility for private family cruising or charter use.
Orion One Places Focus on Open-Air Living
Exterior deck spaces form a major part of Orion One’s layout. The upper deck aft serves as one of several alfresco dining areas, while the flybridge has been configured as the motor yacht’s primary outdoor social space. Here, guests will find a hot tub, lounge seating, and open entertaining areas designed for extended time outdoors. A foredeck lounge creates a more private retreat separated from the main guest circulation routes.
The overall arrangement places emphasis on usability rather than highly segmented deck planning, with multiple open-air spaces connected through wide walkaround side decks and direct access points between levels.
According to Alfa Marine Design owner Cihan Sandıkçıoğlu, Orion One’s steel hull platform was developed to prioritize dependable performance, operational efficiency, and long-range comfort. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the 44-meter superyacht is expected to cruise at 12 knots and reach a top speed of 15 knots, with sea trials scheduled to begin next month ahead of delivery later this year.
