Sunseeker 45M Superyacht Revealed at Cannes Yachting Festival With Anticipated 2029 Delivery

Sunseeker has revealed the all-new 45M Superyacht at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, with construction of the first hull scheduled to begin in 2027 ahead of an anticipated delivery in 2029.

Unveiled during Sunseeker's press conference on the opening day of the show, the new 45M represents the shipyard's first completely new superyacht design since its return to the sector with the 134 Superyacht.

Sunseeker has already secured a signed Letter of Intent from one of its longstanding customers for the new project, which introduces a new semi-displacement platform alongside a five-cabin layout with the option to add a sixth guest cabin.

First Look at the Sunseeker 45M Superyacht Exterior

The new 45M Sunseeker Superyacht has been developed around a semi-displacement hull intended to combine long-range cruising with comfort and operational efficiency, while retaining the performance characteristics associated with Sunseeker's Superyacht models.

One of the most distinctive features of the yacht is the architectural aft deck, which has been conceived as an open-ocean lounge positioned close to the water. The design creates a dedicated exterior deck space for guests while establishing a stronger visual and physical connection with the sea.

The exterior layout also incorporates a transverse tender garage. This houses a tender alongside two personal watercraft, keeping the equipment close to the water while leaving the main guest areas free for lounging and entertaining.

Further details on the exterior arrangement and final specification are yet to be announced.

With a gross tonnage at approximately 440GT, the 45M Superyacht has been designed around a substantial interior volume, with flexibility forming a key part of the accommodation arrangement.

The superyacht comes with five guest cabins, while owners can opt for a sixth depending on how they intend to use their yacht. Dedicated crew quarters within the layout are said to provide accommodation for up to nine crew members.

The upper deck Sky Lounge continues the emphasis on adaptable living spaces, with the area designed to work as an extension of the interior or as part of a more open connection with the exterior decks.

Sunseeker has yet to reveal a full interior specification or detailed imagery of the motor yacht, so the precise arrangement of the guest areas, materials, and furnishings remains to be confirmed at this time.

The focus so far is on creating spaces that can be adapted around the owner's lifestyle, with the new yacht combining its larger volume with areas intended for both private use and entertaining.

Rediscovering its Inner Maverick

The 45M Superyacht is one of several new Sunseeker developments presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival, with the builder using this year's show to introduce a number of future models alongside an existing yacht making its global debut.

Also announced at Cannes was the next-generation Sunseeker Manhattan 80, which is scheduled for delivery in 2029 and will introduce a five-cabin layout to the Manhattan 80 name.

The new model revives a name that was previously seen between 1997 and 2000, where the first-generation Manhattan 80 featured three cabins and accommodation for up to eight guests. Making the new updated flybridge yacht a different proposition despite retaining the same name.

Sunseeker also announced the Ocean 86 Enclosed, adding a new model to its Sunseeker Ocean range and extending the company's current product development program beyond the Manhattan and Superyacht categories.

Alongside the new announcements, the Sunseeker Manhattan 94 made its global debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. The model forms part of the current Manhattan lineup and was presented to visitors during the show.

A New Direction for Sunseeker

As if the multiple new model announcements weren't enough, at its Cannes press conference, Sunseeker introduced its new "The Original Mavericks" tagline alongside a revised visual identity and a simplified approach to its product lineup. The company is now organizing its models under four principal categories: Predator, Manhattan, Ocean, and Superyacht.

Sunseeker has also launched Sunseeker Europe, taking greater responsibility for distribution and service within the European region as part of an effort to bring the business closer to its customers.
