About
Accommodation
The tri-deck design creates two lounges over the main and upper decks, a spacious and open main deck salon with a dining area, and an upper deck skylounge that delivers wonderful views and leads onto its own private deck. As with much of the interior, the layout and finish across the salons can be customised to suit the Owner’s cruising style.
The Westport feels like a very social yacht from bow to stern, nicely exemplified by its main deck galley with a surround of bar stools where guests can gather for some culinary theatre.
It is also a very serious cruising yacht, its pilothouse design creating a professional bridge with an integrated Captain’s cabin and office on the upper deck. The elevated position delivers good visibility and there is space for a broad stretch of MFDs and touch screen controls. A range of seating options are available with space for guests or crew to join the Captain.
A trait of true superyacht design, the 130’s main deck Owner’s stateroom enjoys an elevated position and a good deal of privacy. With the ensuite right forward, in the bows, the cabin gets to enjoy the wider part of the yacht with room for a study and lounge plus a his-and-hers walk-in closet.
In the standard layout, the four guest cabins, all ensuite, are on the lower deck with two VIPs and two twins. The crew quarters lie forward, with six berths and a proper mess area.
Leisure & Entertainment
The entertainment technology fitted as standard on board this model include a Kaleidescape/Crestron AV system in the skylounge.
On Deck
The tri-deck design creates three levels of decks, with two tiers of aft deck terraces offering some wonderful dining and lounging options and a full sundeck that can be laid out to suit the Owner’s style, with space for a bar, lounge, dining table, Jacuzzi and free deck area for loungers. The main area of the sundeck is set beneath a statuesque hardtop for shade or evening mood lighting.
The upper deck aft runs off the skylounge and has a dual role as both a private terrace and tender stowage area. With the tender launched you win an elevated place to dine or just escape to, with the tender stowed space and options are more limited but there is still room to enjoy.
Amenities & Tenders
There is no garage, so the tender is stowed on the upper deck. limiting the use of the deck when the tender is stowed.
Performance & Capabilities
The Westport’s versatile semi-displacement planing hull can easily hit 20 knots while also stretching to seriously long ranges when required.
The Westport hull design requires the relatively low horsepower and usefully lightweight 2600hp MTU 2000 16V 96L for its 24-knot top speed. Its 1.9m draft is also an important feature for those looking to cruise the Caribbean’s shallow bays and anchorages.
Perhaps more relevant than its impressive top speed, the Westport 130 utilises its massive 36,000lt fuel tanks to reach a range of around 2,500nm at 11knots.
