Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.5m beam and a 3.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,848 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in mid 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project 707'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2021.

Exterior Design

The 76.5m Feadship Boardwalk V presents a long, balanced profile that disguises her substantial volume. Built by Feadship with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Boardwalk V yacht was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with clean horizontal lines and extended glazing that run the length of the main and upper decks.

Forward on the main deck of Feadship Boardwalk V sits a large tender garage capable of housing two custom 8.5m Hodgdon tenders. This unusual forward arrangement frees the stern for guest leisure space and keeps operational areas separate from the yacht’s social zones.

Aft on the lower deck, Boardwalk V features a beach club that opens on three sides. Large shell doors create direct access to the sea and reveal a space that combines a fitness area, dive locker and watersports storage.

Moving upward through the exterior decks, the bridge deck aft forms the primary al fresco dining area and includes one of several sit-down bars positioned across the yacht. Above this, the sundeck is centred around a large 6m by 2.7m mosaic-lined pool with an integrated hot tub, surrounded by sunpads and lounge seating.

An elevated observation deck sits above the sundeck beneath the mast. From this position, guests on Boardwalk V can take in uninterrupted views across the yacht’s full beam and the surrounding sea.

The Boardwalk V superyacht also includes a helipad integrated into the deck layout, allowing helicopter operations without compromising the guest spaces elsewhere on the yacht.

Boardwalk is a floating masterpiece that offers a sublime luxury living experience in each of its cabins. This magnificent yacht is a testament to Feadship's commitment to excellence in design, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

Interior Design

The interior of Boardwalk V was designed by Amy Halffman and uses lighter materials throughout, with stone, marble, tile, wood and stainless steel combined in a way that feels detailed but not heavy. Across the yacht there are 54 different types of stone, marble and tile, with each major room given its own material identity.

The main saloon includes a backlit opal white marble bar, lounge seating and large windows that bring strong natural light into the room. The sky lounge has its own bar finished in onice grigio onyx, along with a TV nook and grand piano, so the two main social rooms feel distinct rather than repeated.

Lighting plays a big role throughout the yacht, and custom fittings by Charles Loomis Lighting and Wired Custom Lighting were used to shape the mood of each space. Wood finishes include sapele, straight-grain mahogany and crotch mahogany, all custom stained, while lighter wall finishes and fabrics keep the interior from feeling dark.

Elsewhere on board, the bridge includes a guest seating area with an elevated sofa and a Radio Zeeland console, while a separate wine cellar stores up to 120 bottles behind custom glass doors.

Accommodation

Boardwalk V accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins.

The owner’s suite is on the main deck and takes up the forward section of the yacht. It includes fixed balconies to port and starboard, along with his-and-hers bathrooms and dressing rooms.

A VIP suite and a convertible cabin are positioned on the bridge deck, while the remaining guest cabins are on the lower deck. The arrangement gives the yacht a good spread of guest accommodation across multiple levels rather than concentrating everyone on one deck.

Crew accommodation is for 22 in 11 cabins, with service areas laid out to support long stays on board and discreet movement between guest decks, technical spaces and the galley.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M63L) 16-cylinder 3,046hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Boardwalk V is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 153,100 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Despite the grandeur and sophistication, Boardwalk has been crafted with practicality in mind. The attention to detail is extraordinary, with every piece meticulously chosen to ensure utmost comfort and utility while enhancing the visual appeal.
