Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.4m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 1,590 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in November 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 2014.

Exterior Design

At 73.98m (242.7ft), Cocoa Bean carries a commanding profile with strong horizontal decks, a flared bow and a deep navy hull offset by a fine red boot stripe. The clean white superstructure rises in elegant tiers, stacked with generous outdoor living areas and topped by a distinctive radar arch and twin domes.

The aft decks are arranged for sociable cruising, each level offering distinct lounging and dining zones. On the main deck, a wide teak terrace wraps around a newly created seating area that benefits from the lowered bulwark, giving clearer sea views and a closer sense of connection to the water. Above, the bridge deck opens into a circular lounge layout with integrated service counters, creating a tidier, more usable entertainment space.

Further up, the sun deck centres around a raised Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads and vibrant turquoise upholstery, while forward spaces on the upper decks offer additional seating and storage for tenders and water toys.

Interior Design

Inside, Cocoa Bean's main saloon stretches across the beam, filled with natural light from large windows and furnished in soft tones of cream, caramel, and bronze. Deep sofas, polished wood cabinetry and artefacts give the space an inviting, lived-in warmth.

The formal dining room sits forward of the main lounge, separated by decorative doors and framed by sculpted wall panels depicting birds in flight. A circular table anchors the room beneath a domed ceiling detail, complemented by cream leather chairs and low ambient lighting.

Accommodation

Cocoa Bean offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 16 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 16-cylinder 2,682hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Cocoa Bean is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 242,266 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
