More Details

The 25m Sport Fisher yacht Lady Di was delivered to her owners in 2011 by American shipyard Viking Yachts. Viking Yachts is responsible for the complete look and feel of the superyacht, having created the interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Viking 82 enclosed bridge sportfisher
  • Palm Beach tower with outriggers
  • 37-knot top speed performance
  • 216ft² tournament fishing cockpit

Design & Construction

Designed around a modified deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 22.4m beam and a 5.6m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 102 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the seventeenth yacht built on the Viking 82EB design.

Exterior Design

Lady Di is a Viking 82 Enclosed Bridge sportfisher, and the exterior leaves little doubt about its purpose. The Bahama blue hull sets the tone straight away, paired with a sharp, flared bow and a long foredeck that runs clean out to the anchor. The sheer line rises high forward and drops toward the cockpit, which gives the yacht that classic Viking stance built around offshore work.

The enclosed bridge defines the profile. It sits low and wide with a dark, raked windscreen mask and deep side glazing, so the upper deck reads as a second saloon rather than an exposed helm. Above that, the Palm Beach tower adds a full tournament setup, with outriggers, antenna arrays, and a high observation point that extends the yacht’s working range.

Aft, the cockpit is large and open, designed for serious fishing use. There is a mezzanine level with seating built into the forward bulkhead, and from the spec it carries integrated refrigeration, tackle storage, and direct access down into machinery spaces. The transom includes a livewell and fish box, while the layout keeps clear working space around the fighting chair. Everything here has a clear role, and nothing feels decorative.

The enclosed helm sits forward with three helm chairs and full controls, while the tower above mirrors that setup for tournament use. The hardtop carries lighting and electronics, and the outriggers extend wide for offshore spread.

Forward, the deck stays simple and practical, with narrow side decks for crew movement and a clean bow that can take a tender via davit if needed. The hull itself uses Viking’s resin-infused composite build, shaped with a sharp entry and wide aft sections to hold speed and stability in rough water.

Interior Design

Inside, Lady Di follows a structured, traditional sportfisher layout, but with a clear push toward comfort and finish quality. The main saloon uses a high-gloss finish with teak detailing throughout, while large side windows bring in light and keep a strong link to the water.

An L-shaped sofa sits to port with storage below, paired with a cocktail table and a pop-up 55-inch TV. The space includes a Bose system, dimmable lighting, and indirect rope lighting set behind fluted valances, which softens the overall feel in the evening. Amtico flooring at the entrance shifts to carpet, edged with teak trim.

Forward, the galley and dinette form a single working and social space. Granite countertops, a full suite of Sub-Zero refrigeration, a four-burner cooktop, oven, and dishwasher cover the practical side, while a teak dining table with built-in seating keeps the area usable for longer stays.

The companionway links the lower deck with vertical teak detailing and concealed systems such as central vacuum and laundry. Across the interior, storage stays built-in and flush where possible, which keeps movement easy and avoids clutter, a key part of yacht interiors where space and function need to work together .

Lighting mixes overhead LEDs with dimmers and indirect strips, so the mood can shift between bright daytime use and a softer evening setting. Materials lean toward durability as well as finish, with surfaces chosen to handle humidity and constant use at sea.

Accommodation

Lady Di accommodates up to 8 guests across four cabins.

The master stateroom sits amidships and uses the full beam, with a king berth, lounge seating to starboard, and a mirrored ceiling that lifts the sense of space. Storage runs under the bed and within surrounding cabinetry, and large portlights on both sides bring in natural light.

The ensuite uses twin sinks set in a granite vanity, with a frameless shower and full cabinetry. Finishes carry through with teak detailing and Amtico flooring.

Forward, the VIP cabin has an island queen berth with storage below, along with its own ensuite. Two further guest cabins sit to port and starboard, both with twin beds, storage, and private access to their bathrooms.

A separate crew or guest cabin adds flexibility, fitted with upper and lower bunks, a desk, and its own head. Crew capacity sits at two, with systems and layout set up to support extended trips without overlap into guest areas.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M93) 2,400hp engines, motor yacht Lady Di is capable of reaching a top speed of 36 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. With her 12,851 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 500 nautical miles at 12 knots.
