Delivered in 1979, Mirage is an award winning 53m classic yacht for sale built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt, while Design Unlimited is responsible for her interior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.9m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 1978. She was delivered to her owners in October 1979.
Accommodation
Mirage offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in 8 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 4 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D399) 16-cylinder 2,250hp engines running at 1000rpm, motor yacht Mirage is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 81,200 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots making her well capable of long range and transatlantic voyages. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Mirage also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
