  • Five-cabin Princess X80 yacht
  • Walnut satin joinery
  • Enclosed sky lounge
  • Twin MAN V12-1900 engines

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.06m beam and a 1.78m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks.

Exterior Design

The Princess X80 NONNI takes the yard’s “Superfly” concept and pushes it close to 30m yacht territory in terms of usable volume, while still retaining the performance and proportions of an 80-foot planing yacht. Long horizontal glazing lines dominate the profile, and the graphite grey hardtop contrasts sharply against the white hull and superstructure, so the yacht carries a noticeably modern and architectural look underway.

The Olenski-designed hull keeps a fine forward entry despite the yacht’s substantial beam, while the low sweeping superstructure and dark glazing visually reduce the scale of the enclosed sky lounge. From above, the amount of exterior deck space becomes immediately apparent, with four separate outdoor social zones spread between the foredeck, cockpit, upper foredeck terrace and aft flybridge deck.

The aft cockpit is arranged as a large waterside entertaining area with generous seating and direct access to the bathing platform on both sides, so circulation remains easy even with a full complement of guests onboard. Large sliding glass doors connect the cockpit directly to the main saloon, while the dining table can shift between coffee and dining configurations depending on the setting.

Forward, the foredeck lounge creates a notably private guest area with deep seating positioned around a central table, while high bulwarks and wide side decks make movement around the yacht feel secure and open at the same time. The upper foredeck terrace adds another elevated lounge area with convertible seating and integrated refrigeration, positioned ahead of the enclosed bridge for privacy while underway or stern-to in port.

The aft flybridge deck forms the yacht’s main exterior entertaining hub. A large dining arrangement sits beneath the hardtop alongside a fully equipped wet bar with refrigeration, sink, griddle and storage, while adaptable seating layouts allow the space to shift between dining, lounging and sunpad use. The electrically adjustable dining table reinforces the flexibility of the area, as well as helping the deck transition naturally between daytime and evening use.

Tender storage is integrated aft on the upper deck with dedicated crane handling, while wing station controls positioned externally improve visibility during manoeuvring. Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, Sleipner hydraulic systems and fin stabilisation complete the yacht’s handling package.

Interior Design

NONNI’s walnut satin interior pairs dark timber detailing with pale upholstery and expansive glazing, creating a warm contemporary atmosphere that feels more architectural than overtly nautical. Across the main deck, V-groove timber flooring and large window sections reinforce the yacht’s width, while the amount of natural light softens the scale of the interior spaces.

The main saloon adopts an open-plan arrangement with a large U-shaped sofa, freestanding chairs and a configurable dining table that adjusts electrically between coffee and dining positions. Full-height glazing draws uninterrupted views into the saloon, while electric blinds and concealed lighting systems allow the mood of the space to shift easily between daytime cruising and evening entertaining.

The galley takes direct influence from the larger Princess Y85 and carries noticeably more storage and preparation space than typically found aboard an 80-foot yacht. Quartz worktops, extensive refrigeration, Miele appliances and carefully planned crew access routes allow the space to function effectively during longer trips or formal guest service, while sliding partitions can close the galley off from the saloon when required.

The enclosed sky lounge is one of the defining elements of the X80 layout. Positioned above the main deck, the space functions as a second saloon with direct access to the upper exterior terraces, so guests can spread naturally throughout the yacht rather than concentrating around a single social area. Large sliding doors and panoramic glazing keep the upper lounge visually connected to the sea, while electric blinds and upgraded lighting packages add flexibility to the atmosphere onboard.

The helm area carries a more substantial bridge layout than many yachts in this size range. Triple Raymarine multifunction displays, integrated monitoring systems and clean ergonomic controls give the bridge a more professional feel, while still maintaining the refined finish of the surrounding interior.

Accommodation

NONNI accommodates up to 10 guests across five ensuite staterooms, with an arrangement rarely seen on an 80-foot platform.

The standout guest cabin sits forward on the main deck and functions as an additional VIP or owner-standard suite. Panoramic windows wrap around the forward section of the cabin, while a private side deck access door creates a more secluded atmosphere normally associated with larger yachts. The ensuite bathroom includes a full-size shower and refined detailing throughout.

The primary lower deck owner’s suite spans the yacht’s full beam aft and benefits from the quiet positioning created by the separation from the engine room. Walnut satin joinery, electric blinds, extensive storage and a dedicated dressing area shape the suite, while the large ensuite includes twin sinks, a spacious shower and combination bidet fittings.

Forward on the lower deck, the VIP cabin carries impressive beam for its position in the hull and includes generous storage, a dressing area and a substantial ensuite bathroom. Two further guest cabins sit port and starboard, with the port cabin featuring electrically sliding berths that convert between twin and double configurations for greater flexibility.

Crew accommodation has been upgraded beyond the standard X80 arrangement and includes two separate cabins as well as a dedicated crew mess with kitchenette, breakfast bar and private facilities. A third single berth has been added within the crew area, allowing the yacht to support larger crew numbers when required for extended cruising or higher service levels.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1900) 1,900hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Nonni is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
