Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.2m beam and a 2.75m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Oceano 52 design. She was completed at Mangusta's Pisa yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
The Mangusta Oceano 52 sits within Overmarine’s long-range motor yacht line, carrying forward a design language introduced on earlier models such as the Oceano 39 and 44. The exterior lines reflect Alberto Mancini’s hand, with a deliberate increase in glass surfaces across bulkheads and bulwarks, plus frameless handrails and full-height sliding glass walls. The shipyard has committed to glass as a central design feature, giving decks a transparent, open character that removes visual barriers.
The profile reveals generous open-air living across three levels, with multiple lounging and dining terraces that flow easily from one space to another. A wide aft deck drops almost to water level, set with sunbeds and a shaded seating area for time spent close to the sea. Above, curved lounge spaces wrap around the stern on the main and upper decks, softening the yacht’s lines while creating sociable zones that look out over the wake.
Forward, the foredeck is a central outdoor living space, laid out with sunpads, seating, and an infinity pool. From here, a set of steps leads naturally down to what the yard calls the “patio lounge” on the main deck. This area is intentionally flexible, equally suited to being a gym, lounge, or another custom space depending on the owner’s brief.
Accommodation
A defining feature of the Oceano 52 is the placement of the owner’s suite on the upper deck. Positioned forward, it takes in panoramic 180º views, ensuring natural light and a direct connection with the surrounding scenery. Private access leads directly to the foredeck lounge and infinity pool, creating a retreat-like flow from stateroom to outdoor deck.
On the main deck, the area traditionally used for an owner’s suite is given instead to two generous VIP cabins. Below, four additional guest cabins provide further accommodation.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M86) 20-cylinder 1,700hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Oceano 52/01 is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 73,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
