The 33m Mangusta Gransport 33 has been commissioned for an American owner and is scheduled for delivery later this year. Positioned as the entry point to the Mangusta GranSport range, the model has found a strong following in the United States and other international markets.
Custom Design in Collaboration with the Owner
The Mangusta GranSport 33 motor yacht carries exterior styling from Alberto Mancini Yacht Design, while naval architecture has been developed by Overmarine’s in-house technical department. The project reflects a close creative partnership between the owner and the yard’s design team, with a fully customized layout and interior conceived to match the client’s preferences.
Stefano Arlunno, president of Mangusta America, said the process was both intense and collaborative, adding that the model continues to appeal to American buyers in particular. The result is a yacht tailored around comfort, performance, and lifestyle, delivered within a compact 33-meter platform.
Open Interiors with Panoramic Views
The interior of the Mangusta GranSport 33 emphasizes space and natural light. Large panoramic windows line the saloons and staterooms, while the open-plan layout ensures a sense of flow between social areas.
Accommodation on board the superyacht is arranged for up to 12 guests in five staterooms. The main deck hosts a 40-square-meter master suite with full-beam dimensions, while the lower deck includes two VIP cabins and two additional guest cabins. Each stateroom has been configured to suit the owner’s requirements, reflecting the custom nature of the build.
GranSport 33 Highlight: Sundeck Connects to Bow with Infinity Pool
Outdoor living is a central feature of the Mangusta GranSport 33. The 56-square-meter sundeck connects directly to the bow, where guests find a large infinity pool and a spacious sunbathing area. These features reinforce the model’s focus on direct connection to the surrounding environment, creating versatile spaces for relaxation and entertainment.
Wide side decks and an uncluttered aft cockpit further enhance the yacht’s exterior layout, offering options for dining, lounging, and enjoying sea views.
The yacht is powered by four 1,000hp Volvo Penta engines paired with IPS pods. This configuration allows a cruising speed of 21 knots and a top speed of 25 knots. The propulsion system has been developed to provide both performance and efficiency, delivering responsive handling that suits a wide range of cruising itineraries.
Stepping Up: Key Differences Across the Mangusta GranSport Range
While the Mangusta GranSport 33 is the most compact model in the series, the rest of the GranSport range scales up in both size and capability.
The Mangusta GranSport 34, at 40m, is only slightly longer than the 33 but retains a similar five-cabin layout for up to 12 guests. It offers a longer 3,000-nautical-mile range, making it a practical step up for owners seeking extended cruising without moving into a significantly larger platform.
Moving up in size, the Mangusta GranSport 45 stretches to 45m and introduces an all-aluminium fast displacement hull capable of 26 knots and a 3,500-nautical-mile range at 11 knots. Like the 33, it accommodates 12 guests in five cabins but provides greater volume, more alfresco space, and features such as a waterfall-fed hot tub and an expansive beach club.
At the top of the range, the Mangusta GranSport 54 spans 54m and offers six staterooms for 12 guests, along with a 4,200-nautical-mile range and a 29-knot top speed. Its design incorporates features found on larger superyachts, including a three-sided beach club and an infinity pool with a glass bottom that illuminates the owner’s suite below. Compared to the 33, the 54 delivers significantly more interior volume, outdoor amenities, and long-range cruising potential while retaining the sporty profile that defines the GranSport line.
The launch of the twelfth Mangusta GranSport 33 reinforces the model’s strong appeal among American buyers seeking a compact yet high-performance yacht. As Overmarine continues to expand the GranSport range, the 33 remains a key entry point for owners drawn to the brand’s distinctive design and customizable layouts.
