Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.6m beam and a 3.15m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 766 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was completed at Heesen's Oss yard in Netherlands where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
The Heesen Project Diana is a 55.0m (180.5ft) fast displacement motor yacht, and her profile reflects that purpose with a long, low hull line, a slightly raked bow, and a tiered superstructure that steps cleanly toward the stern. The image shows a balanced, horizontal emphasis, with dark glazing bands running almost full length, so the yacht reads as sleek rather than bulky despite her 760GT volume.
Exterior styling by Omega Architects introduces sharper detailing than earlier models in the 55m Steel series, with angled wheelhouse glazing and reduced mullions that increase the glass area, while also giving the superstructure a cleaner, more continuous flow. Whisper Grey accents appear across the mast and upper structures, and the mast itself has been reworked into a more sculptural form.
Deck spaces are arranged with clear function, as the foredeck is used for tender and rescue boat storage with a central crane, while also retaining guest seating areas forward. The main deck aft integrates a custom infinity pool, set into the deck edge, and this connects directly to the main salon through large glass sections. The upper deck and sundeck step upward with open lounge areas, sunpads, and dining zones, so the exterior supports extended outdoor use across all levels.
The platform sits on Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form by Van Oossanen, paired with twin propellers, which shapes both the underwater efficiency and the yacht’s lean, purposeful stance above the water.
Interior Design
The interior of Project Diana is designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, and it follows a natural material palette built around light tones, texture, and controlled contrast rather than bold colour.
Large glazing panels in the main salon and skylounge reduce the boundary between inside and outside, while fluted and sandblasted glass adds privacy without blocking light. The design relies on layered materials, including Alpi reconstituted timber, honed marbles, and stone finishes such as Rainforest and Camouflage marble, so surfaces carry depth without visual weight.
The layout prioritises usable space, with the traditional beach club reworked into a wellness-focused gym area, and social areas arranged to support both private use and charter flexibility. Furniture and finishes sit within a restrained palette of warm whites and soft natural tones, while texture carries most of the visual detail across walls, floors, and joinery.
Accommodation
Project Diana accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, with a layout that includes an 86m² (925ft²) owner’s suite, a VIP suite on the bridge deck, and four guest cabins on the lower deck.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full beam, offering a large private space with dedicated lounge and dressing areas, while the bridge deck VIP provides an alternative principal cabin suited to guest priority or multigenerational use. The four lower deck cabins complete the layout, each with en suite bathrooms finished in natural stone.
Crew accommodation supports up to 13 crew in seven cabins, allowing full service capability for both private and charter operation.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (4000 M63) 8-cylinder 1,341hp engines, motor yacht Project Diana is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 100,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles.
