More Details

The 28.04m Sport Fisher yacht Touche was delivered to her owners in 2016 by American shipyard Viking Yachts. Viking Yachts is responsible for the complete look and feel of the superyacht, having created the interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Palm Beach tuna tower
  • Enclosed bridge skylounge
  • 37-knot top speed
  • Tournament-ready cockpit

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.38m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 149 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eighth yacht built on the Viking 92EB design.

Exterior Design

TOUCHÉ carries the unmistakable profile of a top-tier American sportfisher, though the scale of the Viking 92 pushes the design well beyond the proportions normally associated with the segment. At over 28m (93ft) in length with a beam exceeding 7.3m (24ft), the yacht combines a sharp tournament-ready stance with the volume and deck layering more commonly found aboard tri-deck motor yachts.

The hull uses Viking’s resin-infused construction with Baltek coring, allowing the yacht to maintain relatively controlled weight despite the substantial displacement and enclosed bridge structure. A sharp raked bow leads into a long sweeping sheer line, while the low black glazing and integrated enclosed bridge help soften the yacht’s considerable height.

The Palm Beach Towers tuna tower dominates the upper profile and immediately signals the yacht’s offshore purpose. Tall outriggers, antenna arrays and the elevated control position reinforce the “high-and-mighty” sportfish look, while the clean deckhouse integration prevents the tower from feeling visually disconnected from the yacht itself.

A defining feature of the Viking 92 layout is the split-level mezzanine arrangement aft. The lower cockpit mezzanine creates a practical fishing observation area directly above the working cockpit, while the upper mezzanine adds another social zone with lounge seating and dining space overlooking the aft deck. Together, the two levels break up the scale of the stern while creating multiple outdoor seating areas connected directly to the fishing spaces below.

The 22.1m² (238ft²) cockpit is built for serious tournament use and incorporates refrigerated fish boxes, livewells, tuna tubes, ice chippers and extensive tackle storage. New teak decking across the cockpit and mezzanine adds warmth against the Haze Grey hull finish, while flush-mounted equipment and integrated systems keep the space clean and highly functional during offshore operations.

The side decks remain notably uncluttered for a yacht of this size, while the lack of traditional bow rails preserves the sharp uninterrupted profile forward. Large black window sections across the main deck introduce more natural light into the interior and reduce the visual bulk of the superstructure.

Interior Design

TOUCHÉ’s interior balances contemporary sportfish styling with the scale and finish expected from a yacht above 90ft. Walnut joinery runs throughout the main living spaces, paired with designer furnishings, custom lighting and broad expanses of glazing that prevent the interior from feeling overly enclosed despite the darker timber palette.

The main saloon adopts a highly social arrangement with lounge seating positioned around the entertainment areas and wet bar, while the formal dining space sits forward within easy reach of the galley. Large side windows bring substantial daylight into the room and visually widen the interior volume, particularly across the beam of the saloon.

The galley has been finished to a far higher standard than typically found aboard traditional sportfishers. Cambria stone countertops, Sub-Zero refrigeration and integrated appliances create a polished liveaboard environment, while the built-in Keurig system and extensive cold storage support longer offshore trips and larger guest groups. The layout itself remains highly practical, allowing direct flow between dining, saloon and cockpit service areas.

Above, the enclosed bridge functions almost like a skylounge. Plush seating wraps around the elevated helm area while panoramic windows provide broad visibility across the surrounding water. Advanced electronics dominate the helm station, including multiple Garmin displays, Furuno systems, omni sonar integration and Starlink connectivity, though the bridge still retains a comfortable lounge atmosphere rather than feeling purely technical.

Accommodation

TOUCHÉ accommodates guests across six staterooms with seven heads, creating an unusually large accommodation arrangement for a performance-oriented sportfishing yacht.

The owner’s suite centres around a king-size berth and incorporates walnut finishes, custom detailing and a walk-in wardrobe arrangement. The suite also includes separate his-and-hers bathrooms, increasing privacy and functionality during extended stays onboard.

Guest accommodation is distributed across multiple cabins, each finished with its own décor and ensuite facilities. Flat-screen televisions, integrated entertainment systems and custom furnishings appear throughout the guest spaces, while the broad beam of the Viking 92 allows the cabins to maintain stronger proportions than typically found aboard sportfishing yachts.

The flexibility of the six-cabin arrangement makes the yacht particularly well suited to larger owner groups, extended family cruising or competitive fishing teams travelling offshore for tournaments and events. She is also capable of carrying up to 2 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,600hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Touche is capable of reaching a top speed of 37 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
