Key Features
- Transatlantic cruising range

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 7.19m beam and a 2.13m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 188 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2004. Launched in July 2006 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2006.
Exterior Design
The 29m (95ft) Inace explorer yacht A.B. Normal was built for long miles at sea, and her profile makes that clear straight away. Designed by Michael Kirschstein with naval architecture by Bray Yacht Design, the steel hull and aluminium superstructure have the solid, workboat-like look that helped make the Inace Explorer series well known among long-range cruising owners.
Her deep red hull, high bow and raised pilothouse give A.B. Normal a strong stance on the water, while wide side decks and high bulwarks make moving around the yacht safe and easy in rough weather. The hull was shaped with efficiency in mind, including a bulbous bow developed to improve range and sea keeping on ocean passages.
A.B. Normal differs from several sisterships thanks to a larger main deck house, which changes the yacht’s proportions slightly and gives her more usable interior volume. The extra size allowed room for separate lounge and dining spaces on the main deck rather than one combined saloon.
The aft deck leads down to an extended swim platform that was lengthened by 1.2m (4ft), creating a much larger water-level space for swimming, boarding and lounging close to the sea. Additional deck storage has also been added for longer cruising plans and watersports gear.
Up on the skylounge deck, the yacht gains another outdoor social space with a recently added hot tub, sunpads and open-air seating. The flybridge also includes an al fresco dining area, barbecue grill and upper helm position with broad sightlines across the yacht.
Interior Design
Inside, A.B. Normal has a warm and relaxed feel that suits her role as a true cruising yacht. Large windows pull daylight into the main saloon, while soft cream furnishings and rich wood finishes give the space a traditional yacht character without feeling heavy.
The enlarged deckhouse changes the flow of the main deck in a useful way. Many explorer yachts of this size combine the lounge and dining space into one room, but A.B. Normal separates them properly. The saloon focuses on relaxed seating and entertainment, while the dining area sits apart for more formal meals and quieter evenings aboard.
The main saloon includes a 60-inch NEC television on a rise-and-fall lift paired with a Bose surround sound system. Large sofas line the room and keep the layout open through the centre, making the space feel wider than expected for a 29m yacht.
The skylounge adds another indoor retreat higher up in the yacht. From here, guests can move straight out to the upper deck seating and hot tub area. The layout works well for long stays aboard, giving guests several separate spaces to spread out through the day.
Accommodation
A.B. Normal offers guest accommodation for up to eight guests across four en suite cabins, although some layouts are arranged for six guests in three suites depending on owner use.
The owner’s cabin uses the yacht’s beam well and includes generous storage, entertainment systems and a private en suite bathroom. The VIP cabin sits forward, while the remaining guest cabins include double and twin arrangements suited to family cruising or longer trips with mixed guest groups.
Each cabin follows the same warm style seen throughout the yacht, with rich timber joinery, soft lighting and practical built-in storage designed for extended time aboard rather than short weekend use.
Crew accommodation allows for up to six crew members, helping A.B. Normal operate comfortably during long-distance cruising.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3406E -DITA) 6-cylinder 440hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht A.B.
