Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.02m beam and a 2.57m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 395 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fourth yacht built on the Princess 40M design. She was completed at Princess' South Yard yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in March 2015.
Exterior Design
Ace 2 is one of only eight Princess 40M yachts built, and the profile still feels fresh a decade on. Bernard Olesinski gave the yacht a long, flowing shape with strong horizontal lines and dark glazing that stretches almost unbroken through the superstructure. The result is a 40.2m (131.9ft) tri-deck yacht that carries its 395GT volume without looking heavy.
The cream-toned hull contrasts cleanly against the dark window bands and shaded deck areas, while the low flybridge hardtop keeps the upper profile sleek despite the amount of deck space above. Large expanses of glazing run along the main and upper decks, helping soften the yacht’s scale and giving the exterior a lighter, more contemporary feel.
Outdoor living is spread across several levels. The flybridge acts as the main leisure deck, fitted with a jacuzzi, wet bar, sunpads and open lounging areas beneath the hardtop. There is enough room up here for guests to spread out properly, whether underway or at anchor, and the elevated position gives wide views across the water.
Below, the upper deck carries another alfresco dining space with built-in seating and a bar area, while the aft cockpit connects directly to the main saloon through sliding glass doors. Forward, the foredeck creates a more private retreat with sunpads and seating tucked low behind the raised bulwarks.
At the stern, the transom opens toward the water with a spacious swim platform and garage setup capable of housing a Williams 625 tender alongside multiple jet skis. Underwater lights highlight the yacht’s lines after dark, while the teak decks and wide side walkways reinforce the solid superyacht feel Princess pushed into the 40M series.
Interior Design
Inside, Ace 2 mixes British yacht design with a distinctly Italian styling approach shaped by Fendi Casa. The atmosphere is warm and polished without becoming overly formal, helped by glossy cherry wood, cream leather and carefully balanced lighting throughout the main deck.
The saloon feels long and open thanks to the full-height glazing along each side. Lounge seating sits aft beside the windows, while the formal dining area moves forward beneath a striking circular ceiling detail. A Macassar ebony dining table and backlit onyx feature wall give the room a more tailored feel, though the space still works comfortably for relaxed day-to-day use.
Fendi-designed furniture, fabrics and lighting run throughout the yacht, tying the spaces together without making them feel repetitive. Neutral tones dominate most of the interior, though darker timber framing and leather trim add contrast and depth.
The skylounge on the upper deck changes the mood slightly. Larger windows and a softer seating arrangement make it feel more relaxed and informal than the main saloon below. An L-shaped sofa, loose Fendi chairs and integrated entertainment systems turn it into an easy evening space once the outside decks quiet down.
Across the yacht, the amount of natural light stands out. The glazing pulls daylight deep into the interior, while the long sightlines between rooms help the decks feel larger than the numbers alone suggest.
Accommodation
Ace 2 accommodates up to 10 guests across five ensuite cabins, with the owner’s suite positioned on the main deck forward. This full-beam cabin includes a private dressing area, his-and-hers walk-in wardrobes and a large marble ensuite finished with rare Nero Portoro marble inside the shower, contrasted against lighter stonework around the bath and flooring.
Four further guest cabins sit on the lower deck and comprise two doubles and two twins. Each cabin carries its own colour palette through the fabrics, furnishings and finishes, giving the rooms individual character while still fitting within the yacht’s wider design language.
Crew accommodation is forward, with a mess and cabins for up to seven crew members. The captain has a separate ensuite cabin and office located directly behind the bridge.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M93L) 3,500hp engines, motor yacht Ace 2 is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 29,345 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,100 nautical miles at 18 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
Amenities
In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker.
