More Details

The multi-award winning 35m motor yacht Amaranta was delivered to her owners in 2018 by Italian shipyard Azimut. She features exterior design by Stefano Righini and interior styling by Achille Salvagni.

Key Features

  • Azimut Grande 35 Metri yacht
  • Forward spa lounge
  • Dual beach club layout
  • Fold-out owner’s balcony

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 1.91m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 269 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the sixteenth yacht built on the Grande 35 Metri design. Launched in May 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Amaranta comes from Stefano Righini, who gave the Azimut Grande 35 Metri a sharp, low-profile appearance despite the yacht’s substantial internal volume and 7.5m (24.6ft) beam. Long overhangs, continuous dark glazing and sculpted side detailing visually stretch the 35m (114.8ft) profile while reducing the sense of bulk often associated with wide-body yachts.

A defining feature is the trapezoidal bow, which replaces softer traditional curves with a more angular forward shape that maximises usable deck space. This area forms one of the yacht’s two beach club zones and includes a hydromassage spa pool surrounded by sunpads and lounge seating. The forward platform can also raise hydraulically to access operational equipment hidden beneath the deck.

The yacht’s profile relies heavily on extensive dark glazing that runs continuously along the hull and superstructure. Full-height windows in the main saloon and owner’s suite contrast against the lighter exterior structure, while large cut-out sections in the bulwarks further lighten the appearance. The owner’s suite also benefits from a fold-out private balcony integrated into the main deck shell.

Toward the stern, the lines sweep naturally downward into the aft beach club and swim platform area. A side-loading tender garage keeps the transom free from storage duties, allowing the aft section to remain open as a dedicated waterside leisure zone with approximately 12m² (129ft²) of beach area.

One of the yacht’s more unusual exterior elements is the concealed upper observation deck. Rather than creating a bulky additional level, the raised third deck integrates cleanly into the profile, preserving the sleek tri-deck appearance while adding around 30m² (323ft²) of elevated outdoor space.

Construction also plays a major role in the yacht’s design. Amaranta uses a carbon-fibre superstructure to lower the centre of gravity, paired with Azimut’s D2P_Displacement to Planning® hull and wave-piercing bow.

Interior Design

The interior of Amaranta was created by Achille Salvagni, who approached the yacht with softer flowing forms intended to contrast the sharper, more aggressive exterior styling. Curved lines appear throughout the layout, furniture and circulation spaces, giving the interior a calmer and more residential atmosphere while still feeling contemporary and distinctly Italian.

Large full-height windows dominate the main saloon, bringing substantial natural light into the central living spaces and strengthening the connection with the sea outside. The saloon itself uses an open arrangement with lounge seating aft and dining positioned forward, while the wide-body layout creates noticeably broader internal volume than many yachts in this size range.

Materials play a major role in the atmosphere onboard. Salvagni combined brass, bronze and stainless steel detailing with a variety of timber finishes to introduce texture and warmth without making the spaces feel heavy. The palette leans toward soft neutral tones balanced against darker accents and metallic trim, while bespoke furniture pieces designed specifically for the yacht reinforce the tailored feel of the interior.

A spiral staircase with illuminated onyx steps links the decks and acts as one of the yacht’s visual centrepieces.

Accommodation

Amaranta accommodates up to 10 guests across five suites, with the owner’s suite positioned on the main deck and four guest cabins arranged on the lower deck. The layout balances privacy with large shared living areas, helped by the yacht’s wide-body configuration and generous internal volume.

The main deck owner’s suite is one of the yacht’s defining accommodation features. Full-height glazing fills the cabin with natural light, while a fold-out private balcony extends directly from the suite, creating a private terrace above the water. The arrangement gives the owner’s space a more open connection to the exterior than is typically found on yachts in this size category.

The four lower deck guest cabins comprise two double cabins and two twins, allowing flexibility for families or mixed guest groups. Large hull windows bring additional daylight into the lower accommodation areas, helping avoid the enclosed feel common to many lower deck cabins.

Crew accommodation is positioned forward with space for up to six crew members.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M93) 2,400hp engines, motor yacht Amaranta is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Amenities

In addition, a beach club allows for easy access to the water and allows those on board to easily unwind. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories.
