Cannes, FranceThe 25.6m motor yacht Azimut Seadeck 9/ 01 is being constructed by Italian shipyard Azimut and is due to be delivered in 2026. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Alberto Mancini, while her interiors are the work of Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.

Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 6.3m beam and a 1.88m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 110 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Seadeck 9 design. Launched in February 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Azimut's Avigliana yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Hull one of the Seadeck 9 introduces the most complete expression yet of Azimut's Seadeck philosophy, while also becoming the largest yacht ever built at the company's Avigliana facility. Alberto Mancini's design centres on the stern, where the already familiar Fun Island evolves into a 60sqm (646sqft) Pool Deck that steps gently from the main saloon to the water. The architecture has created a continuous living area where terraces, plunge pool, swim platform and saloon work as one.
Fold-down bulwarks widen the aft deck as the hydraulic bathing platform lowers into the water, while a flush-deck plunge pool sits at the heart of the arrangement. Twin staircases link the different levels without interrupting the flow across the deck, so guests can move naturally between the saloon, pool and sea. The central dining table converts to suit different occasions, while movable sunbeds allow the space to adapt throughout the day instead of being fixed around a single layout.
The rest of the exterior follows the same thinking. A generous flybridge becomes a second outdoor lounge with dining, sunpads and uninterrupted views, as the helm occupies only a small part of the available space. Forward, the bow provides another dedicated seating area with sofas and sunpads, giving owners three distinct outdoor destinations instead of concentrating everyone at the stern.
Construction also plays an important role in the yacht's character. Around 40% of the structure uses carbon fibre, reducing weight without compromising rigidity, while the planing hull developed with NAMES was designed to deliver efficient performance across a broad speed range rather than at a single cruising speed. Hull one also reflects Azimut's wider investment in production, becoming the first yacht to demonstrate the expanded capabilities of the redeveloped Avigliana shipyard following its €50 million modernisation programme.
Interior Design
Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez approached the interior as an extension of the exterior rather than as a separate environment. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, a disappearing aft glass door and generous ceiling heights allow the main saloon to remain visually connected with the Pool Deck, so the boundary between inside and outside almost disappears when the doors are open.
The layout reflects the increasingly informal way owners use yachts in this size range. An open galley sits forward of the saloon, allowing hosts and crew to remain connected with guests, while the offset staircase keeps circulation away from the principal living area so movement between decks does not interrupt conversation or dining.
Accommodation
The Seadeck 9 has four cabins, accommodating up to 8 guests, while separate crew accommodation for 3 preserves privacy throughout the guest areas.
The owner's suite is positioned on the lower deck, which allows the entire main deck to remain dedicated to entertaining while creating a quieter retreat amidships, where motion is naturally reduced. The suite adopts a spa-inspired approach with integrated washbasins, a writing desk built into the bookcase and large hull windows that bring natural light deep into the space.
Performance & Capabilities
The Seadeck 9 combines a lightweight carbon fibre structure with a planing hull developed in partnership with NAMES and triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 propulsion, producing a top speed of 29 knots, cruising at 23 knots.
The hull has been optimised to plane at lower speeds, extending the range of efficient cruising conditions, while the carbon fibre construction reduces displacement and the IPS installation lowers both fuel consumption and emissions compared with conventional shaft-drive installations. Together, these measures contribute to Azimut's target of reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 40% over an average year of operation.
Hull one is also prepared for Volvo Penta's hybrid-electric propulsion system. The yacht can be equipped with a 60kWh lithium battery pack that enables Hotel Mode, allowing stabilisers, air conditioning, entertainment systems and other onboard services to operate silently for up to four hours during the day or eight hours overnight with the generators switched off. The system recharges in around five hours from shore power or four hours using the generators, making quiet time at anchor a practical part of everyday cruising rather than a specialist operating mode.
