Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.62m beam and a 1.95m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 247 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Bang! is part of Benetti's Classic 115 series, a model that helped reshape the semi-custom superyacht market at the turn of the century. Before yachts like this arrived, owners often faced a choice between a fully custom build or a far smaller production yacht. The Classic 115 bridged that gap, offering the volume, presence and deck spaces of a much larger custom vessel on a proven production platform.
Stefano Righini's exterior design remains one of the most recognisable profiles of the era. Bang! combines a traditional rounded canoe stern with a raised pilothouse and strong horizontal lines, creating a yacht that still feels elegant rather than tied to a particular design trend. Her dark blue hull adds contrast beneath the white superstructure, while the continuous ribbon of glazing along the main deck visually stretches the yacht's length and helps disguise her substantial internal volume.
Righini's real achievement was fitting roughly 247GT of volume into a yacht that still appears relatively slim from the water. The stepped superstructure rises naturally through three deck levels, while curved transitions and angled overhangs soften the profile and prevent the yacht from looking top heavy. The raised bow adds presence and practical seakeeping benefits, protecting the foredeck and lower accommodation from spray.
Outdoor spaces are arranged across three distinct levels. The main aft deck serves as the primary outdoor dining area and flows directly into the main saloon. Above, the bridge deck offers another shaded entertaining space linked to the skylounge and Portuguese bridge. The sundeck crowns the yacht with a Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads and open lounging areas.
The stern conceals a tender garage behind a clean transom door, allowing toys and equipment to remain hidden while preserving the yacht's classic lines.
Interior Design
François Zuretti designed the interior, bringing the rich materials and traditional craftsmanship that became a hallmark of many Benetti yachts from this period. His work aboard Bang! demonstrates why the partnership between Zuretti and Righini became so successful. Righini created the volume, while Zuretti turned that space into an interior that felt closer to a custom yacht than a production model.
High-gloss cherry wood cabinetry remains a defining feature throughout the yacht. Recent upgrades have freshened the interior with new soft furnishings in turquoise and cobalt blue tones, creating contrast against the warm timber finish without stripping away the yacht's original character. Marble features throughout the guest areas continue the classic Benetti feel.
The main deck makes full use of the platform's generous volume. A large social lounge occupies the aft section of the saloon, while a formal dining room for ten guests sits forward. When the Classic 115 was introduced, having separate lounge and dining spaces on a yacht of this size helped set new expectations within the market.
One of the most interesting updates came in 2023 when the main deck day head was converted into a dedicated wine cellar. The modification highlights the flexibility built into the platform and shows how owners have continued to adapt Bang! to modern tastes without changing the underlying architecture.
The upper deck skylounge adds another layer to the yacht's social spaces. Complete with a bar and compact office corner, it provides a second interior gathering area and was one of the features that helped distinguish the Classic 115 from many of its competitors.
Accommodation
Bang! accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins and carries six crew.
The layout reflects one of the key innovations that helped make the Classic 115 so popular. Rather than placing the owner on the lower deck, Zuretti positioned a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck. This arrangement separates the owner's accommodation from guest traffic while taking advantage of elevated views through the forward windows.
The master suite includes his-and-hers bathrooms connected by an oversized central shower, creating a layout normally associated with much larger yachts.
Four additional double guest cabins are located on the lower deck, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Individual marble finishes give each bathroom a distinct identity rather than repeating the same material palette throughout.
Crew accommodation for six supports both private use and charter operation.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412E V12) 1,400hp engines, motor yacht Bang! is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 35,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Bang! also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
