Due to be delivered in 2028, Project Iron Man is a 80m expedition yacht built by Italian shipyard Benetti. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Giorgio M. Cassetta, while Benetti is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.5m beam and a 3.4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,050 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Project Iron Man's exterior, drawn by Giorgio M. Cassetta, flows in clean, measured lines that stretch from a finely flared bow to a gently tapered stern. The profile balances power and poise, with long horizontal elements creating a sense of continuity and calm motion even when at rest.
The superstructure rises in a graceful tiered formation, topped by a sculpted mast and subtly curved upper deck. This rhythm of lines gives the yacht a refined yet athletic look, typical of Cassetta’s approach to proportion and balance.
Outdoor decks are planned for hosting large family gatherings and relaxed cruising days, with zones for dining, lounging, and quiet retreat. Wide terraces and generous walkways connect these areas seamlessly, while the yacht’s volume ensures plenty of shaded and sunlit space across each level. Every exterior area has been shaped with the owner’s multi-generational family in mind, offering comfort and privacy within a coherent, elegant design.
