Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.05m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 62 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the Dominator 800 design. Launched in May 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Built in 2015 and finished in a creamy, warm Italian white, the Dominator 800 presents a timeless profile with subtle modern flair. The GRP hull and superstructure are complemented by thoughtful detailing, from the stainless steel railings with real glass inserts on the flybridge to the smoked mirror finishes tucked throughout. With CE Category A classification, the structural integrity is top-tier.
A standout feature aft is the deep-lowering hydraulic swim platform, operated via remote, which submerges well below water level - ideal for watersports or tender launching. On either side, integrated showers and a Glendening cable master setup flank the hydraulic gangway, and both sides also provide pop-up fender holders and smartly placed fuel inlets.
Moving forward, the cockpit is finished with high-end director-style chairs in durable all-weather fabric, ambient dimmable lighting, and hidden mooring gear beneath clean hatches. An ice bucket station and air conditioning outlet add thoughtful touches for warm days. A third engine control station with bow thruster controls, anchor chain counter, and yacht controller contributes to excellent manoeuvrability from the stern.
Side decks are secure with high bulwarks in matching cream gelcoat. The pantograph door from the galley provides quick access to the sidewalks. Forward, the bow layout features a generous sunpad with folding backrests, a centreline table with a single pedestal, and a bimini top with integrated lighting and marine-grade switches. Under the cushions lies extensive storage, with space originally allocated for a jacuzzi.
Up top, the flybridge benefits from a lightweight carbon fibre hardtop and vast social space. Sun loungers with adjustable backrests, a large dining area, and a central wet bar with grill, sink, ice maker, freezer, and drink cooler make entertaining seamless. Further forward, the upper helm mirrors the lower station’s functionality and provides excellent visibility. There’s a retractable windbreak hatch, dual fridges under seating, and more storage than one might expect on a yacht of this size.
Interior Design
Step into the saloon through stainless steel-framed sliding glass doors and the atmosphere is immediately welcoming - warm woodwork, indirect ambient lighting, and clean, modern lines create a relaxed, luxurious setting. Clever storage solutions are built into nearly every surface, and the audiovisual system is centrally controlled via an iPad. Large glass inserts in both the hull and superstructure allow light to flood in and give an open, connected feel to the water.
Forward, the main lounge area includes a glass dining table and cabinetry extending to the hull sides. A day head sits to starboard, fitted with high-quality marble, fine carpentry, and curved joinery.
The open-plan American-style galley is starboard amidships, well-equipped with professional-grade Miele appliances: an induction hob, oven, microwave, ice maker, and wine cooler for up to 50 bottles. Storage abounds throughout. A professional refrigerator and freezer blend seamlessly into the interior thanks to smoked mirror finishes. The galley window opens for ventilation, and the adjacent pantograph door leads to the side decks for easy movement around the yacht.
Lighting design throughout is subtle and effective - dimmable ambient lights provide a cozy feel at night without overpowering brightness. Upholstery and finishes follow a timeless palette, with quality leather touches and soundproofing details that enhance onboard comfort.
The helm station is located at the forward end of the saloon, complete with Besenzoni pilot seating and the Dominator signature wheel. Dual Raymarine chartplotters, bow and stern thrusters, boat management touchscreen, multi-function displays, twin Seakeeper stabilizer displays, autopilot controls, engine monitoring, and hum-free interceptor systems are all within easy reach. The panoramic, single-piece windshield is a distinctive feature - a deliberate investment for visibility and aesthetics, made of high-grade safety glass.
Accommodation
This Dominator 800 accommodates up to 8 guests across 4 guest cabins and provides dedicated quarters for 3 crew.
The master cabin, positioned midships, features a king-size bed and extensive storage, including a walk-in wardrobe, full-height mirror, and drawers under the bed and settee. Opening portholes provide natural ventilation, while electric blinds and blackout curtains enhance privacy and comfort. A large smart TV is mounted opposite the bed. The ensuite bathroom is cleverly divided into his-and-hers spaces, separated by a central walk-in shower with rainfall and handheld heads. Each side includes a toilet, bidet, sink, mirror, and additional storage.
Forward lies the VIP cabin, bathed in natural light via side portholes and a ceiling hatch. A centrally placed queen-size bed is flanked by wardrobes and electric blinds. The ensuite bathroom is finished in contemporary materials and features a toilet, sink, shower, and additional porthole.
Between the master and VIP suites are two identical twin cabins, each with single beds, storage below, and glass-panelled wardrobes. Both have electric blinds and ensuite bathrooms with showers and toilets. Every cabin features high-end finishes and exceptional carpentry throughout.
Crew quarters are accessed via the aft and include a compact galley with sink and storage. The captain’s cabin to port has a single berth, while the starboard-side cabin features a bunk setup. A shared head with shower sits between them. Additional amenities in the crew area include a washer-dryer combination and ample storage, making it practical for extended cruising.
