  • Tender garage
  • Full-beam main deck owner’s suite
  • Hydraulic swim platform
  • 1,200 nautical mile range
  • Fold-out dining balcony amidships

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.05m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 192 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was completed at Sanlorenzo's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in November 2017.

Exterior Design

The Sanlorenzo SL106 Fifty Shades stretches 32.31m (106ft) in length with a beam of 7.06m (23ft 2in) and a draft of 2.01m (6ft 7in). The yacht features a raised pilothouse layout and showcases the sleek Italian styling that defines the Sanlorenzo brand. Viewed in profile, Fifty Shades carries a clean, contemporary silhouette with refined lines and a strong visual presence on the water.

A key design detail is the fold-out balcony on the starboard side, located off the main dining area. When not in use, this blends in as part of the superstructure. Boarding can be done from either side via integrated side gates, while aft, a hydraulic swim platform and tender garage are positioned at water level, flanked by twin staircases leading to the aft deck.

The foredeck is arranged with a U-shaped seating area and a height-adjustable teak table under a retractable sunshade. Forward, all anchoring equipment is neatly housed and easily accessible.

Up top, the flybridge spans a generous area beneath a hardtop, part of which includes a retractable panel for sun exposure. There's a central bar setup with sink, fridge, and icemaker, while the alfresco dining zone sits just forward. A second helm station is located forward to starboard, opposite a companion bench. The aft section of the flybridge is left open for freestanding furniture and offers panoramic views thanks to glass bulwarks framed in teak. While there’s no hot tub fitted, there’s room for one should an owner wish to add it.

Stainless steel accents, teak elements, and integrated lighting contribute to the overall polish. Built-in speakers are positioned throughout the exterior decks to support entertainment across multiple zones.

A raised pilothouse design gives Fifty Shades split-level living and superior helm access.

Interior Design

Step inside Fifty Shades and the design shifts from streamlined exterior to bold, personalised interiors. The main salon is bright and inviting, with a large U-shaped sofa dominating the port side and extensive cabinetry and storage lining starboard. A concealed TV rises from the cabinetry, and just aft, a bar area includes a sink, fridge, and small serving counter.

Forward of the salon is the formal dining space, designed to seat a full party in comfort. A sliding pocket door can close off the galley, which lies to port and is well-equipped for extended cruising. Features include twin upright fridges, freezer drawers, a wine fridge, oven, cooktop, and sink. The adjacent crew staircase leads down to the crew mess, with built-in seating, a dining table, and a stacked Miele washer-dryer. Crew accommodation continues forward down the hall, finished in light-toned wood.

The raised pilothouse sits above the main deck, accessed via an interior stair. Inside, it’s arranged with an L-shaped settee and four large multi-function displays at the helm station. There’s direct access to the flybridge from here via an aft door.

Accommodation

Fifty Shades offers accommodation for up to 10 guests across five staterooms, along with crew quarters for up to five.

The owner’s suite occupies the forward section of the main deck. Generous in volume, it features a walk-in wardrobe to port, a dressing table, and large hull windows which allow for excellent natural light. A bench seat faces the bed, and a concealed lift-up TV may be housed within the cabinetry. The ensuite spans the full beam aft of the cabin, fitted with twin sinks, a rainfall shower with bench, and a separate toilet.

Below deck, four additional guest cabins are arranged around a central lobby. Two double cabins sit aft, each with its own ensuite and wall-mounted television. Despite mirrored finishes, conventional screens have been chosen over integrated mirror TVs. Forward are two twin cabins, both with side-by-side single berths and additional storage beneath. Each guest ensuite is finished in natural stone and includes rainfall showers.

The crew area is accessed separately from the galley staircase and can accommodate up to 5 crew.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,400hp engines, motor yacht Fifty Shades is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. With her 12,397 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,406 nautical miles at 11 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

The flybridge on Fifty Shades features twin bars, alfresco dining, and glass railings.
