Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.6m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2022. This was the sixth yacht built on the Codecasa 43 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Gioia is a 43m (141.1ft) Codecasa motor yacht from the Vintage series, and her exterior balances classic proportions with more modern detailing. A white steel hull pairs with a pale grey aluminium superstructure, while the profile mixes straight lines with softer curves, so the yacht reads clean but not rigid.
The vertical bow stands out straight away, and it gives Gioia a sharper, more upright presence at the front, while also linking to traditional displacement forms. Large sections of glazing run along the main and upper decks, so natural light carries deep into the interior and keeps a constant visual link with the sea.
The superstructure sits slightly aft, and that allows a longer foredeck, which the owner expanded to create a more usable social space. This area works as a forward lounge with loose furniture, so it can shift between sunbathing and group seating without fixed constraints.
Across three decks plus the sundeck, exterior areas are spread out and clearly defined. The sundeck acts as the main open-air space, with a hot tub set into the deck and room around it for lounging and casual dining. Aft decks on each level provide further seating and dining zones, and the use of freestanding furniture keeps layouts flexible rather than fixed.
Interior Design
Inside, Gioia follows a modern approach that leans on texture and material rather than strong colour contrast, and the spaces feel connected to the exterior through light and tone. The layout is arranged across two main saloons, so social areas are split between decks while still maintaining a consistent design language.
American walnut with a tatami-style texture runs through key areas such as the staircase and owner’s suite flooring, and this adds depth without relying on heavy contrast. Metal mesh panels by Sophie Mallebranche wrap selected technical areas in the main saloon, and these also appear in glass sliding doors, so functional elements become part of the visual design.
The main saloon is arranged with large windows on both sides, and this keeps the space bright while reinforcing the connection to the sea. Furnishings come from established design brands, and they sit within a calm palette that avoids strong visual breaks. As a result, the room feels cohesive rather than segmented.
Accommodation
Gioia accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, with a layout that separates owner and guest spaces clearly.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, and this position gives wide forward views as well as added privacy. The suite includes a dressing area and benefits from the same material palette as the main living spaces, so it feels integrated with the rest of the yacht.
On the lower deck, two double cabins and two twin cabins form the guest accommodation. Each twin includes an additional bunk, so the layout can adapt for different group sizes or family use.
Crew accommodation supports up to nine, including a dedicated captain’s cabin, so service areas remain separate from guest circulation.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 12-cylinder 1,600hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Gioia is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 70,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 11 knots making her well capable of long range and transatlantic voyages.
