Junior is a 26.29m motor yacht delivered by British shipyard Sunseeker in 2023. Sunseeker's team has created the interior and exterior design of the superyacht, alongside her naval architecture.
Key Features
- X-TEND beach club stern
- Fold-down saloon balcony
- Retractable flybridge hardtop
- Full-beam master suite
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.98m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 90 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Junior is the Sunseeker 88 Yacht Mk2 at its sharpest. The low black hardtop, long hull glazing and swept superstructure give the yacht a fast, hard-edged look even at anchor, while the forward-pushed profile frees up a huge amount of outdoor living space aft and on the flybridge. Angular hull windows cut deep into the white topsides and tie into the dark glazing above, giving the whole yacht a clean, aggressive flow from bow to stern.
The flybridge hardtop sits low and wide over the upper deck, supported by sculpted uprights that almost look airborne from some angles. A retractable centre canopy opens the space to the sky when needed, while the aft section stays open for sunbeds and loose lounging furniture. The flybridge itself works as the social heart of the yacht, with a wet bar, dining space and broad views over the water.
On the main deck aft, full-height sliding glass doors blur the line between cockpit and saloon. The aft deck has a shaded dining setup and direct access down to the X-TEND transom system, which shifts between a sea-level lounge and a flush sunpad arrangement. At anchor, the whole stern turns into a proper beach club space just above the water.
The foredeck has been treated as a true guest area rather than spare deck space. Sunpads stretch across the bow while raised seating and a dining table sit behind them, protected by the high bulwarks and Portuguese bridge arrangement. From above, the yacht’s deck layout has a strong sense of symmetry, with wide side decks and clean sightlines running the full length of the boat.
Accommodation
Junior accommodates up to eight guests across four ensuite cabins, including a full-beam master suite positioned amidships on the lower deck. The master makes strong use of the yacht’s beam, with large hull windows bringing natural light deep into the cabin.
The remaining guest accommodation includes two doubles and two twins, with one twin able to convert into a double when needed. The layout works well for mixed charter groups, families or couples cruising together. Crew accommodation supports up to four onboard staff, allowing Junior to run with full service during charter operations while keeping guest areas private and quiet.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M96) 1,950hp engines, motor yacht Junior is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 11,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,300 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
