La Vie is a 36.6m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Tecnomar in 2018. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Gian Marco Companino Design, while Tecnomar is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.79m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 276 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2017. This was the first yacht built on the Evo 120 design. She was delivered to her owners in September 2018.
Exterior Design
Tecnomar, renowned for its sporty spirit and high-performance yachts, designed the EVO 120 to epitomize the perfect blend of style, functionality, engineering efficiency, and avant-garde design. La Vie is the first model in the EVO range and is a sports yacht with sleek, low-slung profiles and impressive speed capabilities thanks to its aluminum construction. The exterior aesthetics and naval architecture are crafted by The Italian Sea Group's in-house departments, featuring angular, muscular lines that embody Tecnomar's signature elegance and sportiness.
The yacht's plumb bow leads into a flowing profile that gracefully descends to meet the transom, creating a dynamic silhouette. Curvilinear elements along the sides incorporate expansive glazing, flooding the lower deck with natural light and reflecting the surrounding water. The main deck features open sections that enhance interior brightness. Forward on the upper deck, sweeping lines and a section of safety-focused guard rails complement the bold profile, highlighted by a carbon fiber radar canopy contrasting with the rearward-leaning radar mast.
At the foredeck, beyond functional anchoring and mooring areas, a central staircase leads to a spacious sun pad and seating area, offering guests forward-facing views. Twin staircases on either side provide access to the upper deck, while at the stern, sheltered stairways from the main deck aft lead to a fixed bathing platform. A curved staircase on the starboard side grants access to the sky deck, which features a generous lounge area, a partially glazed infinity pool, an outdoor bar with a kitchen, and the wheelhouse.
Accommodation
The yacht was configured to accommodate eight guests in four cabins, although customization options for the EVO120 yacht can accommodate ten guests in five cabins. Onboard La Vie, the full-beam master suite features a large bed and a private lounge. Additional accommodations include a VIP suite to starboard and an aft twin with a Pullman berth. The yacht’s additional cabin was reconfigured into a massage room equipped with a table and sofa, a large sauna, and a bathroom with a shower.
There are also three cabins for five crew.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M96L) 12-cylinder 1,920hp engines, motor yacht La Vie is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 15,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,600 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
