Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 28' beam and a 9'6" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 446 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Lady Nora is a 45.1m (148ft) semi-displacement motor yacht built in aluminium by Broward Yachts. Her sleek white hull and superstructure carry the timeless character of Broward’s classic lines, where strength and efficiency are matched by a balanced, uncluttered profile. Every curve reflects the brand’s American craftsmanship, now refreshed with a lighter, more contemporary spirit.
Life on board spans three broad decks designed for open-air living. The sundeck is an inviting retreat with panoramic views and a forward jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads. A shaded lounge and dining area sit beneath a bimini, offering space for relaxed gatherings or sunset dinners.
On the upper deck, a bright sky lounge opens onto a generous aft terrace for informal dining and cocktails, while the bow offers a more private lounge area that can be shaded when needed. The main deck welcomes guests into a full-beam salon combining an elegant lounge with a formal dining table seating up to thirteen. At the waterline, a large swim platform connects guests directly to the sea, serving as the perfect base for swimming, water sports, or tender access.
Interior Design
The interiors were originally created by Robin Rose & Associates and later updated by the Spanish studio Bravo Yacht Design Group (BYD) to give the yacht a fresh, modern atmosphere. The brief was to bring new light, warmth, and comfort throughout, while maintaining the sense of craftsmanship that defined the yacht’s original build.
BYD began by completely stripping the lower-deck crew areas back to the aluminium frames and hull plates. Using advanced 3D scanning, the team captured a precise digital model of the interior volumes before redesigning the spaces with cleaner lines, smarter layouts, and improved systems. The air conditioning and ventilation systems were overhauled, introducing better air renewal and improved ducting to eliminate any stagnant areas.
Throughout the yacht, light oak veneer cabinetry is paired with Amtico Nordix Oak flooring, a mid-grey antique-wood effect surface that adds warmth and durability. The palette balances soft beige carpeting, pale upholstery, and lightly patterned fabrics to maximise brightness. Updated LED lighting adds gentle warmth, with white interiors inside wardrobes and bathrooms helping to lift and expand the spaces visually.
The galley and pantry were entirely remodelled for better function and flow. The pantry now mirrors the dark-wood panelling of the main saloon, keeping visual harmony through the connecting door. In contrast, the galley takes a more contemporary approach, styled in the same antique-effect flooring found in the crew spaces below. Work surfaces in brushed stainless steel offer durability and easy maintenance, while the cabinetry in dark grey “nickel sprinkle” finish gives a refined, modern tone. The layout has been improved with sinks repositioned further from the induction hob and a new serving station for faster, more efficient plating.
Accommodation
Lady Nora can accommodate up to 10 guests across five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck features oak panelling, warm ambient lighting, and an ensuite bathroom, creating a calm, private retreat. Two double and two twin cabins on the lower deck each have their own ensuite bathrooms, all finished in the refreshed BYD style with lighter fabrics and modern lighting.
The children’s cabin has been cleverly reimagined by BYD to include twin Pullman beds integrated into two long sofas whose backrests fold upward to form additional hanging bunks. The design blends dark walnut and warm teak with woven carpet for durability and comfort. Storage has been built into the bulkheads, and a compact desk with a stowable chair adds a thoughtful, child-friendly touch.
The crew layout allows for eight crew in four single cabins and two doubles, plus a dedicated Captain’s cabin.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Detroit Diesel (16V149TI) 2,400hp engines, motor yacht Lady Nora is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 13,116 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,375 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
