Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement ice class steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 17.5m beam and a 4.6m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 6,561 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in late 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'Icecap'. Launched in November 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2026.

Exterior Design

O3 is one of the most technically ambitious explorer yachts ever built. At 109m (357.6ft) and 6,561GT, her design stems from a genuine expedition brief rather than a conventional superyacht platform. The project began with Norwegian studio Salt Ship Design, whose influence remains clear in the yacht's axe-style bow and unusually forward-positioned superstructure, before the exterior was extensively refined by Espen Øino.

The axe bow is one of O3's defining features. Drawing on commercial offshore vessel design, the near-vertical wave-piercing form is intended to improve comfort in challenging sea conditions while reducing pitching during long passages. Combined with her Ice Class 1B hull, the design supports operation in higher latitudes and more demanding cruising grounds than those typically associated with large luxury yachts.

Positioning the superstructure well forward creates a profile unlike most yachts of this size. Rather than concentrating volume amidships, the arrangement frees up a vast amount of deck space aft. This area accommodates one of the yacht's key features: a large elevated helideck added during construction, alongside extensive tender and toy storage, cargo-carrying capability, a swimming pool and substantial outdoor guest areas.

The profile itself balances expedition functionality with modern superyacht styling. Long horizontal bands of glazing stretch across the superstructure, visually reducing the scale of the yacht's considerable volume, while layered decks create a terraced appearance from bow to stern. Much of the exterior is protected by deep overhangs and enclosed sections, allowing the yacht to operate comfortably in a wide range of climates, while observation decks, lounges and open-air spaces maintain a strong connection to the surrounding environment.

Interior Design

O3's interior has been designed by CG Design, the studio behind the interiors of notable superyachts like Feadship's 83m yacht Savannah and the 40m Christensen yacht Odessa. While details of the finished spaces remain private, the design brief centres on extended global cruising, and with more than 6,500GT of internal volume, O3 offers the space of a small ship.

Accommodation

O3 offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in 10 suites comprising an owners cabin and 4 VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 30 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by 3 x diesel Wartsila (9L20) 9-cylinder 2,692hp engines, motor yacht O3 is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

For the ultimate relaxation experience, the yacht plays host to a luxury spa and massage room. Adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea and luxury yacht O3 plays host to a complete dancefloor. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. O3 also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
