The 30.78m motor yacht Passage was delivered to her owners in 1971 by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt.

Key Features

  • Feadship Dutch build pedigree
  • Full-beam owner’s cabin
  • Classic raised pilothouse profile
  • Proven long-range cruising hull

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 6.1m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 169 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Passage is a 30.8m (101ft) Feadship motor yacht, and the pedigree shows straight away. Built in 1971 by Feadship with naval architecture from De Voogt, the profile follows a classic raised pilothouse layout, so the lines are clean, balanced, and built around function rather than trend.

The hull is steel with an aluminium superstructure, and the proportions feel purposeful, with a long foredeck, a defined sheerline, and a solid, upright bow that suits steady cruising. The superstructure sits low and extended, and large rectangular windows run along the main deck, so the exterior has a calm, horizontal flow rather than sharp angles or aggressive styling.

Aft, the main deck is sheltered and enclosed on three sides, so it works in most conditions. Fixed glazing and drop-down panels protect the space, while a solid teak table and loose seating turn it into a proper dining and lounging area rather than a pass-through deck. Side decks run wide and clear, so movement forward is simple and safe.

Up top, the flybridge adds a second social layer, with seating arranged around the helm and space for guests under a Bimini. The tender sits aft on dedicated mounts, which keeps the main deck uncluttered and preserves the classic layout.

Interior Design

Inside, Passage keeps a traditional Feadship interior, and the tone is set by high-gloss varnished teak throughout. The finish is rich and consistent, so the yacht feels cohesive, and the detailing leans into craftsmanship rather than minimalism.

The main saloon runs along the full beam with large windows on both sides, so the space takes in plenty of natural light despite the darker wood tones. Seating is arranged for conversation, and the layout keeps the room open without unnecessary divisions.

Forward of the saloon, the dining area sits as a separate space, divided by the galley, so service remains discreet. A table for up to eight guests anchors the room, and built-in cabinetry stores glassware and table settings, which fits the yacht’s formal dining style.

Accommodation

Passage accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 cabins, with a layout that reflects traditional yacht design.

The full-beam owner’s cabin provides the main sleeping space, with two additional twin cabins offering flexible guest accommodation. All cabins include en suite bathrooms, so each guest space remains self-contained.

Crew accommodation supports up to 5 crew, which allows the yacht to operate with proper service levels while keeping crew circulation separate from guest areas.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D343TA) 460hp engines, motor yacht Passage is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 17,411 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.
