Project Cosmos is a 114.2m motor yacht due to be delivered by German shipyard Lurssen in 2026. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Marc Newson Ltd, while Lurssen is responsible for her naval architecture.
Key Features
- Sculpted mast with spherical domes
- 114m (374ft) futuristic superyacht profile
- Large amidships domed glass structure
- Wraparound glass giving visor-like effect
Design & Construction
Designed with a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, she has an 18m (59ft) beam. The yacht spans 4 decks with an internal volume of 6,300GT (Gross Tonnes) and is expected to become one of the world's biggest yachts.
Measuring 114.2m (374ft) in length, she will enter the Top 100 by length at Rank 44. With her high volume, Project Cosmos will also join YachtBuyer’s YB100, where gross tonnage is the primary metric, at Rank 32 - 12 places higher than her Top 100 ranking.
Exterior Design
Project Cosmos is a radical, highly individual superyacht from celebrated designer Marc Newson, whose signature is evident in every unconventional line and proportion. Her sculptural profile swaps conventional yachting cues for a more organic, contoured shape, finished in a two-tone grey and white scheme that accentuates her flowing form.
The long metallic-grey hull is crowned by deep, continuous belts of reflective glazing that wrap the superstructure like a visor. The bow is close to vertical to maximise interior volume, with a sheerline that runs in a ruler-straight sweep from stem to stern. Amidships, a large domed glass structure rises from the deck, its smooth curvature adding to the yacht’s futuristic, spaceship character.
The upper decks are subtly tiered aft, each edged with uninterrupted glazing bands that give the profile a layered, aerodynamic look. At the crown, a sculpted mast stands among oversized spherical domes, reminiscent of high-spec observation equipment. On the upper deck aft, a jacuzzi and pool carry the owner's initial set into the floor.
Aft, the design keeps to clean, flush surfaces with integrated hatches and a low stern section that blends into the profile without visual interruption. This is a yacht shaped as much by artistic ambition as by marine architecture, engineered for global cruising from tropical waters to polar extremes.
Accommodation
Project Cosmos offers accommodation for up to 18 guests in 9 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 36 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
