Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 15m (49ft) beam and a 3.9m (12.7ft) draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 3,420 GT (Gross Tonnes) and is set to become one of the world's biggest yachts.
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
At 102.4m (335.9ft), Nixie belongs to a new generation of large Lürssen yachts that use proportion and surface treatment to create presence rather than relying on visual complexity.
Designed by RWD, the yacht has an exceptionally long, low profile for her length. The foredeck stretches well forward of the superstructure, allowing the upper decks to sit further aft and creating a strong sense of balance across the entire silhouette. Combined with the fine entry and pronounced bow flare, the result is a yacht that appears elegant rather than imposing.
One of the defining features is the way the decks are layered. Each level projects slightly beyond the one beneath it, creating a sequence of broad overhangs that provide shade while giving the superstructure a light, floating appearance. This effect is strengthened by the dark glazing that wraps continuously around each deck level.
The glazing itself forms one of the strongest visual elements of the design. Large sections of curved glass run almost uninterrupted from bow to stern, creating horizontal bands that emphasise the yacht's length.
The mast rises from the centre of the yacht in a tall, slender arrangement that complements the horizontal profile rather than competing with it. Satellite domes, antennas and technical equipment have been grouped tightly together, allowing the upper decks to retain clean lines.
Viewed from above, the stern reveals a sequence of curved terraces stepping down towards the water. Each level creates a distinct outdoor area while maintaining visual connections with the decks above and below. The arrangement gives the aft section a resort-like quality, particularly when combined with the swimming pool and extensive lounging areas expected aboard a yacht of this size.
At the waterline, the beach club forms the natural conclusion of the design. Integrated directly into the hull, it sits beneath the cascading terraces and strengthens the connection between the yacht and the sea.
Accommodation
Nixie offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in 10 suites.
