- Split-level beach club terrace
- Foredeck private terrace
- Main-deck owner’s suite
- Volvo IPS quad propulsion
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.6m beam and a 2.03m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 210 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the eighth yacht built on the SX100 design.
Exterior Design
SX100/156 is defined by her stern arrangement. The aft end forms a wide, open beach club with a lowering bathing platform that drops into the water, creating stepped access for swimming. When raised, the platform leaves a clear working deck sized to carry a tender of up to around 4.5m (15 ft) and a personal watercraft, handled by the integrated deck crane.
A key feature on this yacht is the fold-down port-side terrace. When deployed at anchor, it creates a split-level outdoor lounge that extends the beach club laterally. This terrace sits at water level and is wrapped in full-height glazing, reinforcing the sense of openness and proximity to the sea. The furniture and bar arrangement seen here reflects this owner’s specification and can be altered on other builds, but on SX100/156 it is arranged as an informal waterside living area rather than a fixed dining space.
Forward on the main deck, SX100/156 features a large foredeck arranged for private outdoor use, with sunpads, seating, and removable bimini poles for optional shade. Anchoring equipment is concealed below deck to keep the space visually clean.
The upper aft deck provides an additional outdoor social area with a built-in grill and bar, designed for casual dining rather than formal entertaining.
The beach club on SX100/156 is not treated as a secondary space. With the bathing platform lowered and the side terrace open, the stern becomes a multi-level waterside zone that functions as the yacht’s main outdoor living area at anchor.
Glass surrounds and low bulwarks preserve views while maintaining protection. Guest circulation links the beach club directly to the main saloon via an internal staircase, while crew circulation is routed separately to avoid crossover during service.
Interior Design
The SX100/156 has unusually large windows for a yacht of this size, particularly along the main deck. These windows sit low to the waterline and bring daylight deep into the saloon, reinforcing the yacht’s emphasis on openness rather than enclosure.
The main saloon connects directly to the beach club stairway, visually and physically linking the interior to the water. A separate crew route runs in parallel, maintaining privacy and operational flow.
On this vessel, the main deck is configured with a forward owner’s suite rather than a main-deck galley. This choice prioritises private accommodation and uninterrupted views over a country-kitchen style layout.
The upper deck on SX100/156 houses the primary dining area, positioned to benefit from open sides and drop-down windows. The dumbwaiter serves this level directly.
Forward, the helm station features Volvo Penta IPS joystick control, Garmin navigation displays, and full camera coverage. Drop-down side windows assist with close-quarters manoeuvring, while the elevated position provides clear sightlines.
Accommodation
SX100/156’s owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and benefits from large side windows and direct access to the foredeck. This arrangement allows the foredeck to function as a private terrace when desired.
The suite includes a walk-in dressing area and a full en-suite bathroom. Finishes, stone selections, and fittings reflect the owner’s specification, with storage integrated throughout without interrupting window space or sightlines.
On the lower deck, SX100/156 accommodates three guest cabins, comprising a forward VIP cabin, one double cabin and two twin cabin with Pullman berths.
On SX100/156, the galley is located on the lower deck, connected vertically to the main and upper decks by a dumbwaiter serving all levels. A sliding door allows the galley to be closed off when required, while still enabling efficient service.
Crew accommodation comprises three cabins for up to five crew, along with a dedicated crew mess, laundry facilities, and monitoring systems. Crew routes remain separate from guest circulation throughout the yacht.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel Volvo Penta (D13) engines, motor yacht Sanlorenzo SX100/156 is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 14,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,600 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
