Key Features

  • Master suite with balcony over water
  • Features hydro pool and curved bar
  • Offers gym, sauna, and beach club
  • Hybrid propulsion system with fuel saving

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9.1m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2023 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Secret'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Spirit is the first yacht to bring a long-held Vitruvius concept into reality, with Philippe Briand and Veerle Battiau pairing the studio's efficiency-led naval architecture with a clean, understated profile that puts life beside the water ahead of visual drama. Built entirely in aluminium, her long hull, restrained superstructure and broad bands of glazing give the yacht a low, balanced stance, while more than 250 square metres of exterior terraces create outdoor spaces that feel much larger than her 52m (170.6ft) length suggests.

The stern defines the whole design. Instead of a conventional enclosed beach club, Spirit opens onto a broad waterside terrace where fold-down platforms almost double the usable deck area. The side staircases sit outboard, leaving the centreline clear so the main deck saloon looks straight through to the swim platform. A plunge pool, large gym and infrared sauna all sit at sea level behind full-height glazing, allowing the wellness area to remain connected to the aft terrace whether the doors are open or closed. Unlike many beach clubs that serve mainly as a place to store toys, this space forms one continuous leisure deck that remains usable while under way.

Floor-to-ceiling glazing plays a major role throughout the exterior. Full-height windows wrap the main saloon, dining room, owner's suite and upper deck lounge, bringing daylight deep into the yacht while maintaining uninterrupted views from almost every principal guest space. Slim deck overhangs and carefully recessed bulwarks keep the profile clean without sacrificing shelter, and a large sundeck crowns the yacht with generous room for lounging, dining and entertaining.

Interior Design

FM Architettura approached Spirit as a contemporary home on the water, with warm natural materials, restrained detailing and open planning taking priority over decorative statements. Willem van Cappellen's acoustic work complements that philosophy by reducing mechanical noise throughout the yacht, allowing the sea itself to become part of the onboard atmosphere.

The main deck revolves around a bright central living space where the full-height glazing removes any clear boundary between the saloon and the sea outside. A sculptural floating staircase forms the architectural centrepiece without interrupting sightlines, while the formal dining area sits alongside retractable glazing and an electric opening panel that allows meals to move naturally between indoor and outdoor settings.

The upper deck reads almost as a private apartment rather than a traditional skylounge. An aft lounge flows onto the exterior deck, while the dining room occupies the centre of the layout with the galley positioned discreetly to starboard for efficient service. Forward, the wheelhouse remains separate from the guest areas, preserving privacy while giving the deck an unusually open feel for a yacht of this size.

The same thinking continues at the stern, where the gym, sauna and beach club become one connected space. Large glazed doors can separate the wellness area when privacy is required or disappear completely, allowing exercise, relaxation and swimming to revolve around a single waterside terrace.

Accommodation

Spirit accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins, with a layout that favours generous private spaces over maximising cabin numbers. The owner's suite occupies the prime position on the main deck and includes a private fold-out balcony suspended above the water, giving the cabin its own outdoor retreat alongside uninterrupted sea views through floor-to-ceiling glazing.

The remaining guest accommodation comprises a VIP suite, two doubles and two twins, all finished with the same calm palette found throughout the yacht. Large windows and careful planning bring natural light into every cabin, while circulation spaces avoid the enclosed feeling often found aboard yachts below 500GT.

Crew accommodation for nine spans five cabins, including a dedicated captain's cabin, allowing service areas to remain completely separate from guest life while supporting extended cruising.

Performance & Capabilities

Spirit combines Vitruvius' long-established focus on efficiency with modern hybrid technology. Tankoa carried out extensive optimisation work across the hull form, weight distribution and overall dynamics during construction, while the aluminium structure keeps displacement under control without sacrificing volume.

Twin 1,449hp MAN diesel engines deliver a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, while a full hybrid propulsion system developed by E-Motion allows quieter operation together with improved fuel efficiency. With fuel capacity of 48,600 litres, Spirit has a transoceanic range of around 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, making her well suited to long-distance cruising without frequent refuelling stops.
