Built by Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay, her interior and exterior design are by Nuvolari Lenard, while Van Oossanen Naval Architects developed the naval architecture.
The interior of NL 52 Plus follows a calm, contemporary approach focused on comfort, light, and usability across extended periods onboard. Large glass surfaces on the main deck of the superyacht bring in natural light, reinforcing a connection with the surrounding seascape while maintaining privacy through careful layout planning. Materials and finishes are restrained rather than decorative, supporting the owner’s brief for a yacht that feels timeless rather than trend-led.
Key social spaces are arranged to support both private use and larger gatherings. The main salon connects fluidly to exterior deck areas, while sightlines remain uninterrupted when moving between zones. Particular attention has been paid to noise reduction and vibration control, supported by Van Oossanen’s efficient hull design, which helps the motor yacht preserve a quiet interior environment at cruising speeds.
Deck spaces are a defining feature. The sundeck ranks among the largest in its class and includes a heated Jacuzzi and fire pit arranged for social use. Forward, the foredeck lounge converts into an open-air cinema, adding flexibility without sacrificing usable deck area.
Aft, the beach club spans the full beam and incorporates drop-down terraces, a swim platform, and an integrated pool, creating a strong connection with the water. A full-beam forward tender garage houses a seven-meter tender, crew tender, and water toys, keeping deck areas clear.
Accommodation on board the yacht is arranged for up to 10 guests across five suites. The owner’s suite is positioned on the main deck and functions as a private apartment, complete with a slide-out balcony that can be operated independently without crew assistance. This feature allows the owner to adjust the space according to weather or privacy preferences. Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, consisting of two VIP suites and two flexible double or twin cabins, all finished to a consistent standard.
The Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, each producing 1,450hp. This setup delivers a top speed of approximately 16.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots. With fuel capacity of 55,000 liters, the yacht offers a transoceanic range of up to 4,000 nautical miles at cruising speed.
The first Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus superyacht had a last known asking price of €34,600,000.
