On Deck

The Fjord 41 XP is immediately distinctive, with a strong design presence and custom-painted hull and outboards to match. In this case, the bold brown finish may not be to everyone’s taste, but it shows just how flexible the Fjord configuration is - every fiberglass surface can be painted in your choice of color. If it's white, it remains gel coat; any other hue is painted.

At the stern, the outboard configuration leads to some unique deck solutions. The central engine placement means the swim platform features a folding section that can be raised when the engines are tilted, protecting the outboard cowling. There's also space on this model for a passerelle, though since it’s a US-spec build, that’s been left out in favor of a large storage compartment.

The cockpit layout is very flexible. Four convertible backrests and two hi-lo folding tables mean the aft lounge can quickly switch from relaxed sunbathing to a dining area for 8-10 people with a few extra stools. Drop the tables and insert the cushions stored in the lazarette, and the entire area transforms into an additional sunpad big enough to sleep on.

Further forward, the foredeck hosts another sunpad fitted with built-in cupholders and a vinyl-style cushion material that feels surprisingly breathable. Fender management is neatly integrated, with clever removable holders and designated storage both forward and aft.

Practical detailing includes integrated steps for easier boarding, particularly helpful in low-tide situations. Shore power, water hookup, and emergency bilge access are all located in logical positions behind flush-fitting hatches. There’s also storage tucked into the bulwarks for fenders and lines, keeping the decks uncluttered.

Up top, the signature T-top provides solid shade and protection, with optional bimini extensions available for greater coverage - though this specific model does without. There’s even room for an outdoor galley module featuring a sink with cutting board, optional fifth fridge, storage, and a propane griddle, all securely mounted with heavy-duty shocks to stay open underway.

Interior Accommodation

The interior of the Fjord 41 XP is designed to feel open, modern and light thanks to large hull windows. The layout options are extensive - up to 20 variants are available, allowing owners to tailor the space to their needs. A galley can be included, or swapped for a second head depending on the configuration.

Inside the saloon, seating, refrigeration, and entertainment spaces mirror the flexibility of the cockpit. There are four fridges in total, spread across both indoor and outdoor spaces, giving each guest quick access to refreshments. The helm area forms part of the interior experience, with three seats as standard - two helm chairs and one passenger seat - plus the option to add a fourth.

Helm ergonomics are carefully considered. There’s storage tucked below and behind, a glove box-style compartment, and bolster seating for comfort on longer passages. The visibility is excellent, thanks to a single-piece curved windshield with minimal distortion and an effective wiper system.

Modern electronics from Simrad dominate the helm, supported by joystick control, VHF, ignition and kill switches, remote backup controls, and touchscreen interfaces for managing navigation and systems. The curved windscreen and various windbreak options keep the elements at bay even when cruising at higher speeds.

The cabin on the Fjord 41 XP feels spacious and bright, with light streaming in through the large hull windows. Customization is extensive, with the option to include a vanity or a work table. The cabin can be closed off with a soundproof sliding door that recesses into the bulkhead, providing both privacy and quiet. The space is laid out to feel open but can easily be darkened for rest. An optional guest cabin can be included, depending on layout choice.

Performance

The XP model swaps inboard engines for a pair of Mercury 600hp V12 Verado outboards, delivering a total of 1200 horsepower. Performance is strong, with speeds in excess of 40 knots.

Under the aft sunpad lies a large machinery space with full standing access. Here you’ll find a Whisper Power generator (low noise output), battery chargers, a hot water heater, multiple battery banks, and a sea strainer for the generator. There’s a gyro stabiliser mounted on centerline for added comfort underway. This space also connects forward to the cockpit through another access hatch.

The anchor system is a standout technical feature. Though completely hidden when not in use, it employs a sliding fibreglass mechanism that pushes forward to reveal the anchor housing. Once released, the spring-loaded system deploys the anchor through a stainless steel chain with a 90-degree redirection into the chain locker, keeping the foredeck clean and flush.

In Summary

The Fjord 41 XP is a sharply styled, performance-focused day yacht with real depth beneath the surface. It brings together bold looks, serious speed, and practical detailing in a package that’s also highly customizable - from layout options and paint colors to helm seating and deck gear. Whether in Florida or the Med, the Fjord 41 XP makes a confident statement.
