On Deck
The Saxdor 340 GTWA features a fully walkaround layout with an impressive degree of exterior versatility. One of the most notable elements is the pair of fold-out winglets amidships, which increase the usable beam by 1.5m (4.9ft), reaching a full 4.5m (14.8ft) when deployed. On a 10.78m (35ft 4in) platform, that’s a serious gain in deck space.
At the stern, the aft deck includes a carbon fiber towing post for watersports and a gated transom for safety. Pop-up cleats and receptacles for a removable stern shade are also fitted, with dedicated mounts for support poles. A large storage locker on the starboard side is ideal for stowing fenders and lines and is fully drainable.
The side decks are asymmetrical: the starboard deck is higher to improve boarding from fixed docks, with grab rails thoughtfully placed for secure footing. This high-side layout also benefits older guests or anyone with reduced mobility.
Forward, the bow area provides an adaptable space that doubles as a lounging zone or an alfresco dining spot. The standard cushion can be removed to reveal a fold-out table, creating a sociable seating area for 3-4 people. There's cup holders, full grab rails, optional sunshade poles and skylights for the cabin below.
The anchoring system uses a flush-mounted ultra anchor that deploys via an integrated mechanism which extends from the bow, maintaining the clean prow when retracted. The anchor locker itself is deep, with ample space for chain and additional fenders.
The electric sunroof is large and optionally made of glass with UV-protective coating. It transforms the wheelhouse into an airy, open space. A forward LED bar, radar, night vision camera, and antennas are also mounted on the roof structure.
Interior Accommodation
The wheelhouse is bright and highly configurable. Full-height glass sliding doors flank the space, and the optional opening glass aft wall (electrically operated) connects the helm area directly to the aft deck. The dinette includes a sliding bench and a high-low table which, when lowered and topped with a cushion, converts into an additional lounging or berth. Clever backrest pivots allow for expanded seating, accommodating up to six for meals.
A sink with a fold-down faucet and an electric barbecue are set aft, placed to minimize grease accumulation and soot, and positioned to take advantage of wind direction at anchor. A manual emergency bilge pump is also installed nearby.
There's under-deck wet storage and a technical space accessible via a lift-out tray. Further storage is found beneath cushions and seating, while companionways and passage areas are fitted with secure latches and convertible panels.
At the helm, the bench electrically slides forward and aft and may be locked into multiple positions for different sea conditions. A unique fold-down side surface next to the helm offers a breezy perch with excellent visibility, ideal for docking or night navigation. Integrated cup holders, a fridge, and armrest storage add practical touches.
The helm console itself features up to two 12-inch multifunction displays that combine chartplotter, radar, depth sounder, and vessel diagnostics. Mercury engine monitoring, joystick control with bow thruster integration, and a wireless phone charger are also included. The curved, negative-angle windshield features wipers and lends a distinctive automotive-style look.
Owner's Cabin
The main cabin is located forward on the lower deck and is surprisingly spacious for this size of boat. It features a flared queen berth with additional width, three side windows per side (with shades), and a roof hatch for cross-ventilation and natural light. The area is air-conditioned and benefits from thoughtful airflow, with an optional mosquito mesh for the hatch, adding privacy and comfort when opened.
There’s a small seating nook, access to the main electrical panel, and additional underfloor storage. The cabin connects directly to a separate head, equipped with a sink, mirror, medicine cabinet, bench seat, and manual toilet. Headroom measures approximately 1.68m (5ft 6in), suitable for guests up to 1.7m (5ft 7in) to stand or sit comfortably.
Guest Cabins
An optional aft cabin is cleverly accessed by lifting the rear sofa in the saloon. Once open, the space reveals a full-beam sleeping area for two with good headroom and natural light. The area is also air-conditioned and fitted with a partition door. It doubles effectively as overflow sleeping space or a private hideaway for kids or guests.
The flexible layout of the interior allows the boat to sleep up to six, using the forward berth, aft cabin, and convertible dinette, making this one of the few boats in its class with that kind of overnight capacity.
Performance
The Saxdor 340 GTWA is available with a range of outboard engine options, from twin 200s through to 300hp V8s. The reviewed model features the top-spec twin Mercury 300hp V8s, delivering fantastic performance for a 10.78m (35ft 4in) hull. Lower power options include 225hp and 250hp variants.
Joystick control is integrated with both engines and the bow thruster, making docking and maneuvering easier, particularly in challenging side wind conditions. The hull is constructed using vacuum infusion technology to ensure it remains lightweight and strong, contributing to better speed, handling and fuel efficiency.
In Summary
The Saxdor 340 GTWA is a cleverly engineered, versatile walkaround boat designed for serious day cruising and occasional overnighting. With space to sleep six across two cabins and a convertible dinette, it can also be used for weekending. Features like the fold-out bulwarks, electric sunroof, multi-use cockpit, and practical helm make it especially compelling for active owners or young families. It’s a standout in its class for what it fits into 10.78m and how elegantly and usefully it does so.
