The award was presented on September 12 at the Carlton Cannes Beach Club, just days after the Pearl 73 made its world debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. The 25th World Yachts Trophies featured 69 finalists and 30 awards, with the evening concluding with the traditional yacht parade in the Bay of Cannes.
Four Cabins Put Space at the Heart of the Pearl 73
The award puts the focus firmly on one of the Pearl 73's defining features: how much accommodation and usable living space has been fitted within a yacht measuring just under 22m.
There are four en-suite guest cabins on the lower deck. Pearl describes the arrangement as having two principal suites, with the forward owner's cabin reached through its own private entrance and a second full-beam suite positioned amidships. Two further en-suite guest cabins complete the accommodation, while separate crew quarters are provided for two.
That configuration follows an idea already established aboard the preceding Pearl 72, but the new model introduces revisions elsewhere that alter how the main deck and outdoor areas are used. The 72 itself earned a five-star YachtBuyer score and entered the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame, with its unusual two-owner-cabin arrangement singled out as one of its strongest features.

At just under 22m m overall with a 5.75m beam, the Pearl 73 flybridge yacht retains the same basic dimensions as its predecessor while introducing a substantially revised layout and exterior treatment.
New Galley-Aft Layout Changes the Main Deck
One of the most significant changes is the relocation of the galley to the aft end of the main deck. Rather than sitting farther forward, the galley now occupies the space immediately inside the cockpit doors. The positioning makes it accessible from both the interior living area and aft deck, while the main saloon remains farther forward. A dinette near the helm provides another interior seating area beneath Pearl's distinctive double windscreen.
The arrangement gives the Pearl 73 several clearly defined living areas across the main deck without sacrificing the four-cabin accommodation below.
Outside, Dixon Yacht Design has given the model a sharper profile with larger sections of hull glazing and updated detailing. The most obvious change is at the stern, where a Riviera-style cockpit features fold-down balconies to port and starboard. When lowered at anchor, they increase the usable deck area and open the cockpit farther toward the water.
The garage beneath the aft sunpad can accommodate a Williams 345 tender and a jet ski, preserving the cockpit and bathing platform for guest use rather than tender storage.
Kelly Hoppen Introduces a New Monochrome Interior
While Dixon Yacht Design is responsible for the exterior styling and naval architecture, the interior comes from longstanding Pearl designer Kelly Hoppen Interiors.
The Pearl 73 introduces a new Monochrome scheme based around greys, off-whites and charcoal tones, supported by varied textures, reflective surfaces and more architectural detailing. It joins Pearl's existing interior choices rather than replacing them, giving owners four Kelly Hoppen schemes to select from.
Above, the full-length flybridge sits beneath a hardtop with an adjustable tilt-and-slide opening. Dining, lounging and helm areas occupy the upper deck, while the foredeck provides another guest space with sofas and sunpads.
The Pearl 73 is offered with twin MAN V12 engines. The standard installation is rated at 1,400hp per engine, while buyers can specify 1,550hp units.
A Second Best Layout Win for Pearl Yachts
The Pearl 73's result also adds another World Yachts Trophies layout award to the British builder's recent record. At the 2024 awards, the larger Pearl 82 won Best Layout in the 24m to 30m category during its own world debut at Cannes. That 25.3m YachtBuyer-reviewed model introduced a five-cabin plan with an owner's suite on the main deck.
Two years later, the Pearl 73 has secured the same award in the class below, this time on the strength of a four-cabin plan, an aft galley, expanding cockpit and extensive guest areas within a sub-22m platform.
