Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 25'9" beam and a 8'2" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 337 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Aetea presents a timeless silhouette just under 41 meters (133 feet) in length, with graceful lines that still feel elegant today. Her hull is built in dark navy steel, giving the yacht a grounded, classic presence on the water, while the white aluminium superstructure creates a bright visual contrast. This enduring design was penned by the American naval architect Arthur de Fever, with in-house naval architecture from her original Italian builder. She underwent a major refit in 2014, which included aesthetic enhancements alongside technical upgrades.
Her exterior deck areas are designed to support relaxed open-air living. Guests can stretch out under the sun or gather for alfresco meals across her spacious outdoor lounges. A jacuzzi adds to the onboard comforts, blending the classic character of the yacht with contemporary luxury features. Tenders and water toys are also carried aboard, giving guests access to the water in style.
Interior Design
Step inside Aetea, and the yacht’s character is immediately apparent. Rather than chasing contemporary trends, her interior leans confidently into a traditional aesthetic, anchored by rich wood paneling, deep-toned furniture, and expressive personal details. The main saloon is generous in size and atmosphere, featuring various seating arrangements and a circular glass dining table positioned to enjoy views across the sea.
Throughout the yacht, décor choices echo the warmth of a collected home. You’ll find ethnic artworks, antique-style chests repurposed as coffee tables, and small decorative objects that evoke travel and memory. This layered, characterful styling sets Aetea apart from minimalist interiors. The helm station and navigation areas have been updated with modern control and communication systems, striking a practical balance between heritage and functionality. Guests also benefit from audio-visual entertainment systems integrated during the most recent upgrades.
Accommodation
Aetea offers accommodation for up to 10 guests across five individually styled cabins, supported by six crew cabins for a total of 10 crew members. The layout creates a rare one-to-one guest-to-crew ratio, allowing for attentive service during extended cruises.
The owner’s suite is situated forward on the main deck. It features a spacious sleeping area with a double bed, a desk, and a private lounge space with a sofa. A dressing room provides ample wardrobe storage, while the en suite arrangement includes his-and-hers bathrooms - one of which is equipped with a sauna, a notable comfort feature seldom seen in yachts of this era.
The remaining four guest cabins are arranged as twins, each with its own en suite bathroom. These guest rooms mirror the yacht’s overarching style, with warm textures, art pieces, and homely accents creating a sense of familiarity and charm. The décor across all cabins carries through the same detailed touches found in the saloon, giving the entire interior a cohesive and welcoming feel.
Crew accommodation spans six cabins, sleeping a team of up to 10. These quarters are arranged to support professional operations while maintaining comfort and privacy for those working onboard.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V4000M53) 1,850hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Aetea is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 10,303 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 14 knots.
