Delivered in 2015, Amara is a 37.95m motor yacht for sale built by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Francesco Paszkowski Design, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Sanlorenzo SD126 yacht
  • 2,600nm cruising range
  • Twin Jacuzzi arrangement
  • Skylounge with sea views

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 310 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the SD126 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

The Sanlorenzo SD126 motor yacht Amara blends classic transatlantic inspiration with modern tri-deck proportions. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, the profile draws heavily from 1930s ocean liners, particularly through the tall plumb bow, layered deck structure and long flowing lines that stretch almost 38m (124.7ft) from bow to stern.

Despite the yacht’s substantial internal volume, the superstructure keeps a balanced and relatively lean appearance thanks to the tapered upper decks and broad horizontal glazing. Large rectangular hull windows bring light into the guest cabins while also breaking up the height of the hull sides. Around the forward owner’s suite, distinctive gull-wing style cutouts add another visual signature to the profile.

Outdoor spaces are spread across several levels. The foredeck uses a split-level arrangement with recessed seating, sunpads and integrated lounging areas built into the bow structure. Higher up, the upper aft deck has open-air dining space protected by the overhang above, while the sundeck sits beneath a hardtop and combines broad sunpads with a Jacuzzi and relaxed lounge seating.

A fold-down terrace beside the main salon creates a waterside platform directly connected to the interior living space, while the enlarged swim platform improves access to the sea and tender operations.

Interior Design

Inside, Amara uses a lighter contemporary style with neutral tones, soft greys and clean-lined furnishings. The interiors combine modern Italian furniture brands including Molteni, Minotti and FLOS with large open social spaces spread across three decks.

The main salon feels broad and bright thanks to extensive glazing and the fold-down terrace connection on one side. Seating areas stay relaxed rather than formal, while the dining space aft accommodates up to 12 guests around a long table positioned close to the panoramic windows.

A separate skylounge on the upper deck gives the yacht an additional interior social area with elevated views and direct access to the exterior aft deck. Throughout the yacht, the material palette avoids heavy contrast and instead leans into softer textures, pale finishes and natural light.

Accommodation

Amara accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, with additional accommodation for five crew plus the captain.

The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and includes a king-size bed, private office space, skylight and the distinctive gull-wing side openings built into the superstructure. The en suite bathroom uses a spa-style arrangement with multiple shower functions and generous floor space.

Four guest cabins sit on the lower deck and include two VIP suites alongside two further guest cabins. Large hull windows bring natural light into the accommodation spaces while maintaining privacy close to the waterline.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32 ACERT) 1,620hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Amara is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 28,710 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,600 nautical miles at 11 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
