Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.6m beam and a 1.45m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 343 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2008. This was the third yacht built in the series. Launched in July 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2012.
Exterior Design
Antelope IV is a 43.12m (141.5ft) Italyachts Azul 140 designed by Andrea Bacigalupo. At first glance the yacht carries the flowing lines and luxury detailing expected of a modern Italian fast yacht, but the hull underneath was engineered with outright performance as a priority. Her low superstructure, sweeping glazing and long foredeck give the profile a stretched, aerodynamic look, while the reverse-angle bow bulwarks and deep-V hull hint at the yacht’s offshore racing influences.
The unconventional bow shape narrows sharply at the waterline before flaring outward into pronounced chines higher up the hull. This arrangement eases water aside at speed and generates additional lift, helping the yacht transition cleanly onto plane while preserving stability. The hull itself carries a 12.5º deep-V form, substantial enough to avoid the need for stabilising fins underway while still supporting high-speed cruising.
The exterior layout balances performance with large guest entertainment areas. The aft cockpit is arranged for alfresco dining with built-in bench seating, loose chairs, a dining table, full wet bar and ice maker. Forward, the foredeck becomes a substantial lounging and sunbathing zone, while the flybridge adds another outdoor social area with a jacuzzi, bar, dining spaces and seating beneath a hardtop. A retractable roller canopy provides additional shade when required.
Despite the yacht’s lightweight engineering focus, exterior comfort was not sacrificed. Carbon-fibre-supported awnings provide shade across exterior decks and remain usable even at high speed. Wide exterior areas and multiple seating arrangements create a yacht that feels equally suited to relaxed Mediterranean anchoring or fast inter-island cruising.
Accommodation
Antelope IV offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M93) 16-cylinder 2,400hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Antelope IV is capable of reaching a top speed of 35 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. With her 23,400 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 500 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
