Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 2.2m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 175 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The 27.4m (90ft) Kingship explorer yacht BELLE ISLE carries a distinctly purposeful profile, though Vripack’s styling softens the heavy expedition cues with rounded forms and long flowing lines. The dark blue steel hull contrasts sharply against the white aluminium superstructure, while the curved glazing and sweeping deck lines give the yacht a far more relaxed appearance than many explorer yachts of this size.
The bow is long and clean with a gentle rake, so the yacht keeps an efficient displacement form while still looking elegant underway. Wide side decks run securely around the superstructure behind notably high bulwarks, reinforcing the yacht’s long-range cruising brief as well as making movement around the decks feel safe and sheltered.
Large windows dominate the superstructure and bring considerable natural light into the interior spaces. On the main deck, the glazing wraps around the owner’s suite to create near-panoramic forward views, while the long saloon windows and curved corner sections soften the profile visually and help reduce the yacht’s apparent height.
The aft deck arrangement keeps a practical cruising layout with sheltered outdoor dining positioned directly outside the saloon, so service from the galley remains straightforward during longer passages or extended time aboard. Stairs on the starboard side lead down to the swim platform, creating easy access to the water without disrupting the main guest seating areas.
Above, the flybridge works as the yacht’s primary outdoor social deck. A raised helm station sits forward beneath the mast structure and benefits from excellent sightlines through upright glazing, while the aft section combines a Jacuzzi, movable sun loungers and open entertaining space. The decision to use freestanding furniture rather than fixed sunpads adds flexibility to the layout and suits the yacht’s practical long-range character.
Tender storage sits aft on the upper deck alongside a dedicated crane system, leaving the foredeck clean and uncluttered. The explorer styling remains evident throughout the exterior, particularly in the substantial overhangs, deep side decks and commercial-grade detailing, though the curved forms and softer lines stop the yacht from feeling overtly industrial.
Interior Design
BELLE ISLE’s interior takes a noticeably softer direction than many explorer yachts, leaning into a relaxed beach house atmosphere rather than a traditional nautical aesthetic. Limed oak cabinetry, pale timber finishes and white Venetian blinds create a bright and casual tone throughout the guest spaces, while subtle oriental detailing introduces texture without overwhelming the design.
The main saloon feels particularly residential in character. Freestanding furniture, loose seating and uncluttered surfaces move the space away from the fixed formal layouts often seen aboard yachts of this era, so the room feels closer to a contemporary waterfront home. Large glass doors connect directly onto the aft deck and draw substantial daylight into the interior, while neutral fabrics and striped upholstery in blue and bronze tones add warmth without darkening the space.
A television rises discreetly from hidden cabinetry when required, helping maintain the saloon’s clean appearance while preserving functionality for longer stays aboard. Storage has been integrated carefully throughout the interior, including within side cabinetry and concealed compartments, so the spaces remain practical without appearing overly fitted out.
The galley adopts a more commercial finish with stainless steel surfaces, extensive refrigeration and professional-grade cooking equipment. Positioned close to the dining area, the layout allows efficient service during extended cruising while still remaining connected to the guest spaces.
The raised pilothouse reinforces BELLE ISLE’s explorer credentials. Upright bridge windows deliver excellent visibility, while the navigation setup combines Caterpillar engine displays, radar systems, cameras and full operational controls within a highly functional helm arrangement. The bridge also maintains the yacht’s relaxed interior style through comfortable seating and warm timber detailing rather than a purely technical finish.
Accommodation
BELLE ISLE accommodates eight guests across four cabins, with an arrangement that strongly favours owner comfort during long periods onboard.
The main deck owner’s suite spans the forward section of the yacht and benefits from sweeping panoramic windows that create near 180-degree views ahead. The suite continues the yacht’s beach house styling with limed oak finishes, freestanding furniture elements and soft neutral tones, while a walk-in wardrobe and substantial bathroom arrangement reinforce the full-beam owner focus. A skylight above the bathroom brings natural light directly into the bathing area, which includes both a bathtub and separate shower.
Below deck, two guest cabins sit port and starboard and each carries its own distinct colour palette and styling details, so the rooms feel individual rather than repeated copies of one another. Both cabins include ensuite bathrooms, wardrobes, entertainment systems, safes and dedicated climate controls.
The standout lower deck accommodation space is the full-beam VIP suite, which occupies the footprint that would often be divided into two smaller guest cabins aboard a yacht of this size. By dedicating the entire area to one cabin, BELLE ISLE creates a second genuinely owner-standard suite complete with a large bathroom, bathtub and significantly increased floor space. It makes the yacht particularly well suited to two couples cruising together, joint ownership arrangements or long-term guest stays.
Crew accommodation sits separately aft and includes two cabins for four crew. The captain’s cabin features a double berth and private ensuite, while the second crew cabin uses bunk beds alongside its own dedicated bathroom. A comfortable crew mess, compact galley and separate laundry area support longer operational periods onboard.
