The 40m motor yacht Driller was delivered to her owners in 2012 by American shipyard Westport Yachts. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Gregory Marshall, while Westport Yachts has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 333 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2010. This was the seventh yacht built on the Westport W130 design. Launched in March 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2012.

Accommodation

Driller offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M90) 12-cylinder 2,735hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Driller is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 36,075 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
