Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.95m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 80 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Lady Maureen is one of the later examples of Stefano Righini's Falcon 86, a design that captures the restrained elegance of Italian flybridge yachts from the mid-2000s. The profile carries a long, gently descending sheerline, while the flybridge sits low within the superstructure to preserve the yacht's sleek proportions. Dark wraparound glazing forms a continuous band through the main deck, visually lowering the superstructure and giving the 26.1m (86ft) hull a longer appearance.
The wide side decks and raised bulwarks reflect a period when practical deck movement remained as important as styling. From the photographs, the side decks provide generous access between the cockpit and foredeck, while substantial stainless steel guardrails and teak-capped bulwarks offer reassuring security when moving around the yacht. The foredeck itself combines a large sunpad with additional working space around the ground tackle, allowing it to function equally well for relaxing at anchor or handling lines in harbour.
Outdoor living centres on the aft deck and flybridge. The cockpit provides a sheltered dining area directly connected to the saloon, while the flybridge offers a second social space with U-shaped seating, dining, sunpads and a barbecue. Storage for both the tender and a jet ski is incorporated on the flybridge, preserving the swim platform for boarding and water access rather than deck storage.
Interior Design
Falcon developed the interior around generous proportions rather than fashionable styling, and Lady Maureen has retained a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Rich timber cabinetry runs throughout the main deck, while large windows wrap around the saloon and fill the space with natural light. The result feels bright despite the extensive use of wood, with uninterrupted views out to sea from both the lounge and dining areas.
The arrangement follows a straightforward and practical layout. A generous lounge occupies the aft end of the saloon, creating a comfortable space for conversation, while the formal dining area sits forward with seating for six. Wide walkways along both sides maintain easy circulation between the cockpit, saloon and wheelhouse, and the helm benefits from direct access to the starboard side deck, allowing crew to move between the bridge and exterior without passing through guest spaces.
Rather than chasing contemporary trends, the interior relies on quality joinery, comfortable furnishings and sensible proportions. That approach has aged well, and the classic materials remain well suited to extended cruising.
Accommodation
Lady Maureen accommodates up to 10 guests across four cabins, with a full-beam owner's suite, a full-beam VIP cabin and two twin cabins, each fitted with an additional Pullman berth. Separate crew accommodation for four occupies two cabins forward, providing good separation between guest and operational areas.
The owner's suite sits amidships where hull movement is naturally reduced, making good use of the Falcon 86's full beam. Alongside generous storage, the suite includes a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious ensuite finished with a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Forward, the VIP suite mirrors much of this sense of space, giving principal guests accommodation that feels unusually generous for a yacht of this length.
The twin cabins provide flexibility for families or charter use. Additional Pullman berths allow each cabin to sleep three when required, while ensuite marble bathrooms ensure every guest cabin remains fully self-contained. Each cabin is also equipped with its own television, supporting longer stays aboard.
Performance & Capabilities
Twin 1,800hp MTU 16V 2000 M91 diesel engines give Lady Maureen the performance expected of a classic Italian planing yacht. The GRP hull reaches a top speed of 24 knots and cruises comfortably at around 20 knots, while reducing speed to an economical 18 knots extends range to approximately 450 nautical miles from her 8,500-litre fuel capacity.
The Falcon 86 was conceived as a fast cruising platform, and Lady Maureen reflects that brief. Bow thrusters simplify close-quarters manoeuvring, twin Kohler generators support onboard systems independently of the main engines, and a Tecnicomar watermaker extends time away from marinas. Commercial registration, separate crew accommodation and a flexible four-cabin layout also make her well suited to occasional charter as well as private ownership.
