Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.7m beam and a 2.45m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 467 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the seventh yacht built on the Oceano 44 design. Launched in May 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The 44.5m (146ft) Mangusta Oceano 44 Lulus combines the volume and range of a steel displacement yacht with a profile that feels lighter and more contemporary than many yachts in this size category. Designed by Alberto Mancini, the exterior centres on openness, transparency and a close connection to the sea.

A towering near-vertical bow gives the yacht a confident stance, while the upper decks taper as they move aft, reducing visual mass and creating a more balanced silhouette. Extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing dominates the profile, with long uninterrupted bands of glass running through the main and upper decks. Traditional bulwarks have largely been replaced with transparent glass panels, opening views outward and strengthening the sense of connection with the surrounding environment.

One of the defining exterior spaces is "The Island" on the foredeck. Here, a partially glass-bottomed infinity pool incorporates two integrated sunpads, accessed by a small bridge that crosses the water feature. The arrangement creates a distinctive social area with uninterrupted views over the bow.

At the stern, the yacht's architecture focuses on life at the water's edge. The transom lowers and combines with fold-out side terraces to create a large beach club with a full 180° connection to the sea. This area extends the usable deck space dramatically and forms one of the key gathering points aboard.

The upper deck continues the yacht's emphasis on openness, with glass replacing conventional bulwarks and allowing uninterrupted sightlines across the water.

Interior Design

Lulus was created for owners with extensive charter experience, and that background has shaped many aspects of the interior design. The owners selected their own furnishings, materials, artwork and decorative pieces, giving the yacht a highly personalised character while maintaining the contemporary aesthetic of the Mangusta Oceano 44 platform.

The extensive glazing throughout the yacht plays a major role in the interior atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw natural light deep into the living spaces and create constant visual contact with the sea, helping the interior feel more like a waterfront residence than a traditional yacht.

The overall design philosophy follows the concept of a "sea loft", with open spaces, clean lines and strong indoor-outdoor integration.

Accommodation

Lulus accommodates up to 12 guests across five cabins and has crew accommodation for 9 arranged separately to support charter and private use.

The owner's suite occupies a prime position on the main deck and benefits from a private fold-out balcony, creating a personal outdoor space directly connected to the cabin. Large windows provide abundant natural light and expansive sea views.

Guest accommodation also includes two double cabins and two convertible cabins, allowing the layout to adapt to different guest groups and charter requirements.

The five-cabin arrangement allows Lulus to comfortably host up to 12 guests while maintaining the balance between guest capacity, privacy and social spaces expected aboard a modern 44.5m (146ft) yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M86) 1,700hp engines, motor yacht Lulus is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. She has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles.
